Hecky out

With every thread he starts, the OP certainly knows how to promote division between other Blades fans. Then acts all innocent. Like shooting fish in a barrel.......

Agree Hecky's honeymoon period is over.................in fact that happened at Millwall, if not Stoke - both were piss poor. I'd applaud him for bringing the club around and sort of rescuing the season - its been a bit of fresh air after Slav really.
But...........tactically inept - one dimensional, no plan B (ala Tufty), & like an earlier poster said.........unless MGW (god we will miss him next season) pulls a trick out - we are devoid of idea's!?. This brings me onto the backroom support - Stu Mc............great player/great career.....scored a lot of goals from midfield - what influence does he have on our midfield, as today was a bag of bollocks first half..........plus it was criminal to have Berge on the bench, we were totally unbalanced. Then Jak - good player for us in his time & scored some good goals & had a good awareness/work ethic. Well, McB (not beating up on the fella, but lets accept he is dog shite!), Jebbo (looks like a fish out of water), Illiman took his goal well today, but promises a lot & delivers little.
All-in-all, take MGW/Berge/Davies/Hourihane out of this team for next season (practical/likely), and we it doesn't fill me with confidence & enthusiasm!!??

Osborn looking busy as usual but so one footed the Reading defenders just kept him passing backwards most of the time. God knows why he played on the right.

MGW, too many bad decisions today, bit of a shocker. Trying too hard or just selfish?
I’m starting to think MGW isn’t as good as first thought not too bothered about him staying

Every manager after the match whether we win or they do say we have a very talented side, Hecky has done well with the squad but next season we’ll be without a lot of those talented players as they’ll want to be elsewhere to add it‘s not the first time we’ve said Hecky has picked the wrong side its been said a few times.

Getting outsmarted by Paul Ince is enough reason alone to sack him.

Going into the last few games of the season you need an experienced manager who’s been in this situation before, who knows how to get his team over the line.

We’ve got a manager who’s achieved nothing.
Achieved nowt!
Am I mistaken in thinking he took Barnsley up in play offs and won JPT at Wembley in same season?

Not a bad post till you mention losing Davies back to Liverpool, he’s shite and wants sending back, Robinson 10* player.

Who would you suggest pal?

Worst performance in years at the lane

Outsmarted by Paul Ince

Couldn’t motivate me to eat a fish supper

Drops our best midfielder player for a left back who’s 3ft tall

Hecky out Dyche in
Fuck me we’d be having a manager s month following your mantra.. get a grip

Starting to see the Leeds and Hibs version of Heckingbottom.

Rode the wave of the ‘new manager bounce’ but the performances have fell off a cliff in the last few weeks.

If you can’t motivate a team to go out and get three points in a must-win game against relegation fodder in front of 29k+ then that says an awful lot.

I really wanted him to do well

But can’t help but think he’s our OGS at Man U when he took over from Jose

Team that was better than its performances, under a coach they had lost faith in

Lovely fella, Bring back a smile and simple easy tactics

But, when that had wore off and it was down to tactics, game management and plan B & C, found out to be not quite good enough

Sadly it’s time to think about reinstalling Hecky to the youth teams, and planning for next season manager wise

If we go up it will be an embarrassment, if we don’t I expect our better players to go and I do not have faith that he can bring in half a team and develop the tactics to drive forward what will then be a mid table championship squad

Made even more painful by seeing Villa & Sham doing what they’re doing in the prem, knowing they were on the brink of relegation when we were close to top 6 a couple of seasons ago - how has it come to this….. FFS

Ridiculous attention seeking thread.
He's done a great job with the limited tools at his disposal.
He's had some bad days, but a lot less than the good.
A lot more bad days recently and getting more and more frequent than the good days. You're only as good as your last result (draw and loss in his last 2 home games). Hecky needs a big performance, a good team selection and result on Monday and ideally 3 more after that to not waste the results of his good work earlier on this season....

Fuck these over reactions.
First defeat he’s had at home.
Only reason we’re in the play-offs is because of the turn around we’ve had under Hecky’s leadership.
He picked a bad team today and didn’t help the situation with his changes. Plenty of players guilty of poor performances today as well.
BUT, it’s one game and they deserve the chance to put it right on Monday. Fed up of toys exiting the pram every time we get a poor result - it smacks of entitlement and it’s rotten.
We’ve underestimated Reading today and paid the price…hopefully we won’t make that same mistake again during the run-in.
I’ll look forward to reading why it’s all McBurnie’s fault as well…smarten up Blades fans because we’re becoming like every other knee jerk, bed wetting fan base.
Its not one fucking game though is it?

We’ve been fucking shite against the following;

Stoke
Barnsley
Blackpool
Coventry
Forest
Millwall
Blackburn
Hull
Huddersfield

The list goes on and on and on of games where we’ve been fucking shite to watch. If you think yesterday was a one off then I’d really question how many times you’ve actually watched us this season because we have flattered to deceive in a lot of games or just been plain fucking shite.

He won’t be in charge this time next season.

But he isnt being judged on results apparently. Must be great taking a club backwards and being in no danger of losing your job. Must have thought all his christmases had come at once when he was offered a job that was way to big for him and he’s told that it doesnt matter what happens on the pitch.

They’ll can him when we are in relegation trouble.

The Tactical Genius that is Paul Heckingbottom.

I see a few more people are waking up.

Console yourselves Blades fans at least you can understand him, and don't forget McCall and Lester used to play for us.

Remember my prediction if we don't go up this season the only other Division he will take us to is the 1st.

Sean Dyche wouldn't touch us with a shit stick. He'll get one of the jobs of a relegated Prem team. Bit of dough to spend.

I think there are a lot of unrealistic expectations on here.

We had a team which was almost embarrassingly bad last season. Avoided embarrassment due to....looks at notes....Hecky.
The, the team started with a big ticket manager who has success at this level and he got sacked because we were troubling the bottom. Along steps...looks at notes....Hecky with no money and the worst injury list I can remember and put us in contention for the play-offs. Spending no money and bringing in cheap cover.

I feel a lot of our fans have caught Wednesdayitis. Expecting us to play like Barcelona every game. Expecting us to beat every team in the league.

How can a manager have a plan B when he's not got any players for a plan A? Not been able to bring in his own players? I repeatedly see that all our players are crap and yet the manager is meant to walk the league with the same crap players? We have no good fit strikers and are meant to score goals?

A lot of people on here need to give their heads a good wobble or next think you know we'll be thrashing Bristol City 0:0.
