he is clueless but the plain truth is hes just not good enough for this club long time since ive seen football as boring and negative as this at the lane
You don't feel that every manager ends up departing with a backdrop of atrocious football?

I haven’t read all this thread but he talks about the players not taking risks and fails to see the irony in his picking Fleck over Mcatee or Doyle, he talks about aggression and leaves Baldock on the bench. That was the most unadventurous, lethargic, unmotivated, team selection he could have ever picked.
Man City have loaned us two of their best academy prospects, so play them FFS. Baldock is the catalyst for our aggressive style of play, he sets the standard, others follow, it motivates and gets results. Let’s be right, we’re not blessed with superb players all over the pitch, but we out work every team, we close them down, we hunt in packs and put the ball in the oppositions net. That’s when we are playing well, not like that fucking airy fairy, lacklustre, half hearted performance today and that all stems from the personnel he sent out on the pitch.

As someone once said ‘You’ve got to fucking die to get three points’ 😤
Not outworked anyone at all in about two months now.

He’s completely out of his depth. The fact that theres so many fans that cant fucking see it is absolutely baffling to me.

We’ve been fucking shit to watch for so long its unbelievable. If we go up, we’ll be one of the worst teams to be promoted in Championship history
We're not going up

Nowt to do with his negative tactics then or poor selection choices?
Said it before and Ill say it again, he's another Blackwell. brought in to take the stick and maybe oversee a downturn in spending. However they both started with a team doing poorly, brought them to the brink, then started flying in the second season, but changed tack part way through and couldn't understand why. if a player is not on it from the start, then you got to replace them, like Fleck yesterday. Then we come to the style of play, if he knows how they are going to set up against us, why play a team that isn't going to play the way to break them down? He apparently knew they would pack defence tight so left out Doyle and Mcatee, who have a bit of flair and skill! Also since the world Cup, he has changed from the fast pass and move game to where they pass around the back line then lump it up toward the forwards, now he must know they aren't the tallest of players, so why would you keep on doing that if the ball keeps on coming back to you with an attacker behind it?
teams know if they shut Norwood down we don't work so again why not give them 3 or 4 players to have to shut down, Doyle , McAteer, Berge for what he's worth? Then he also came out and said that the players respond with the crowd behind them, like against spurs. Well again here to say, if they need the crowd behind them, play something that gives the crowd a lift, not drab cr*p. Players who need to hear the crowd with them, are in the wrong profession, if an actor fluffs his lines they would get harangued for it, whats the difference.

Defeat in context:

1. Not looking up for it on the day.

2. Looking lacklustre last couple of games, including against Blackburn despite resting in the cup, to keep a focus on the league.

3. A higher tempo v Spurs than any time in the league, recently.

4. A lack of playing our way, or to a gameplan. Creativity dropping off, appearing cagey, second to every ball, sluggish.

5. A lack of assertiveness.

6. Looks worse in the context of other teams' form.

7. Remain 4 points ahead, we're cutting it fine, but now would be the time to rediscover form, assertiveness and attacking intent and confidence.

In summary, tactically, I prefer it when we play better football.

Hecky only had himself to blame yesterday, He aas negative, late to react to how the game was developing, overly cautious and he continued to play folks out of form (Bogle, Fleck, Norwood, Sander).

Standing by Norwood is his biggest mistake , he’s been shit for six weeks now , add to that putting Fleck at the side of him has compounded it
