Surely we've got to give it a go as the usual suspects haven't delivered consistently for two and a half seasons now, albeit there have been injuries along the way. In our case an inconsistent midfield with 0 threat to opponents who create a gulf between themselves and the strikers and offer them nothing in support or creativity.

Absolutely. If the Norwegian international manager is serious about not taking him to the World Cup unless he leaves us then it'll only be a matter of time until.he does anyway. Let's not leave it until close to the end of the transfer window when it's too late to sign a replacement or reinvest the money. Sell him as he walks away on a free next summer anyway.

Take £15-18mil now and spend that on 2-3 new midfielders.
