A few of our guys - Moose, Oli, Egan from the last couple of matches alone could do with watching Aguero’s headed goal v Palace. If you head it down it’s so much harder to save. Billy also frequently heads it down.

We seem determined to head it horizontally into the net - which is a good height to save, but we head them all over the bar anyway!

Head it down and you can score, somebody can tap in after the save or somebody can tap it in straight off the ground.

We need to play for probabilities, not for the cameras.

I honestly dread us aiming corners at Egan because of the state of his attacking headers haha

Moose needs some serious training on headers. Today, v city and there was a moment v West Ham that wasn’t a chance but during an attack, were all times where he looked like he’d only found out five minutes before that you’re allowed to use your head.

Love him though. Just want him to improve.

In my playing days (OK it was 35 years ago and in Sunday league) I was the left hand corner taker. I was always coached to make the delivery on a downward trajectory. The ball should rise to about the 18 yard line then drop into box.

An attacker will always be able a head a ball down if he’s above it and its dropping, they only have to concentrate on the direction.

An attacker under a rising ball will never get it down.

Nope. Head it where you think it will go in. Looping, driven into the ground or flicked at head height all do the job. Depends on where you have the best chance if hitting the net. Fucking difficult skill to execute when it’s a free header let alone when someone is pushing you/challenging you for the ball.

I've been listening to the debate this week about the Scottish FA who are going to ban heading the ball for under 12's in case it causes brain damage.
Well Mousett will never suffer from this because he looks like he's never practised heading a ball in his life.
