happy to see the team roll over and wave the white flag week after week, then you're a cunt.

Chelsea were imperious after 10 minutes with hardly a misplaced pass.

The first time we have been 'rolled over' in 4 years.

I can see why many are upset, but there are many that are over reacting

Wilder is the only man that can keep us up. He's worked miracles with the groups of players he's had with us. I can't think of a single manager who could come in and turn this group of players round. I've mentioned earlier that we have always been greater than the sum of our parts and that's always been down to CWAK.

However, we are in a different ball game now, we've spent money and the Prince will be expecting a return on this investment. Imo Wilder has wasted a lot of money since promotion, money that we really cannot afford to waste. Of course, we can't expect every transfer to work but his track record since promotion has been poor in terms of improvements to the starting 11.

I think Wilder has backed himself into a corner over recent months and he has to get us out of it. I can accept us being relegated if we actually put up a fight but I worry that we will be cut adrift if we don't pick up soon. I also worry that our players won't be strong enough or experienced enough to get us out of the dog fight. The players I think can do, aren't good enough quality wise for us to be relying on them week in week out (Sharp and Jags).

People keep talking about wasting money! You do realise we aren’t Chelsea or city who can sign a player for 50m and if he doesn’t work out sign another? Every player we sign is a gamble because we cannot afford someone who will just about guarantee to do well! Signing good championship players and hope they make the step up. That’s the market we are in and unfortunately even half decent championship players are going for a fortune.
Who do people think we should actually have realistically signed? on paper all of Wilders signings have been solid but they are all a gamble.

We've spent £100 million on transfer fees alone and not improved the squad bar one player. Lets stop pleading poverty and actually acknowledge that we've spunked unthinkable amounts of money on some bang average players.

50 million per season is peanuts at this level. Allied with a tiny wage bill it's bordering on nowt really. It's around half to a third of what the likes of Bournemouth spent. We've gone with low wage bill and investing in young players as the owner doesn't have the money or willingness to make us competitive. On the back of three years of zero investment, and selling all our best young players in the first three years it's chronic naivety to be expecting better outcomes. That's why we're bringing players in for areas we've required new players for three years (goalkeeper, right wing back competition, left wing back competition, left centre back competition (whoops), younger strikers. Paul Daniels has stopped pulling rabbits out of his hat, but people were somewhat naïve to think that that'd continue.

Forget Chelsea and Man City. No one is claiming to be in the same market as them. We are though, the 10th biggest spenders in the division in the summer window and we look comfortably on a par with Burnley who have spent nothing. We look completely toothless and devoid of ideas in the final third.

If you're spending £20 million plus on players from the Championship and 'hoping' they will be good enough, then that's bad business.

We were the 10th biggest spenders this summer. Ooooh we are soooo poor.

I'm gobsmacked that you think the Prince isn't backing us to be competitive. We've never had this level of investment ever. He's sanctioned every signing that Wilder has wanted. If they don't work, who's fault do you think that is?

I think it would be a mistake to get rid of Wilder, he’s inexperienced at this level and if we go down he’ll likely have learned more this season than he did last.
I think his big money signings have let him down, but there again, Utd is the only club who would regard them as ‘big money’. They were selected from a very shallow pool with comparatively low wages and sustainability a major consideration in their recruitment. Consequently they had to be a gamble and sadly I don’t think any of them have paid off. Until we have significant financial clout, we will not become a long term established Premier League team.
He is trying to do the job with one hand tied behind his back in terms of player contracts, so to condemn him due to a bad start seems a little unfair.
No manager would fare any better than Wilder at Sheffield United with a Sheffield United budget.
Nobody is better qualified than Wilder to take us forward, due to our current finances there will be highs and lows, if you enjoyed the highs the least he deserves is that you support him through the lows 💪🏻

Clubs like Southampton and Leicester sign well scouted unknown players from abroad that are on lower wages and cost little.

Wilder has emphatically said he will solely keep the majority of the squad as UK players... That's on Wilders head, no-one elses.

We’re also lacking in signing players from abroad, that’s a big concern for me. We’re stuck with the expensive English market so will always struggle to get value for money.

Again wages are a thing. The sooner you understand this, the sooner you can grasp the reality.

Worse than 1 point in 11 league games ?

Something needs to change. Selection ?tactics? How the players are managed ? We can all see there is something wrong with how we are playing and Wilder has to resolve this quickly.

If we lose the next 2 games would you sack him ?
No I wouldn't sack him but I dont think we will lose the next two games.

If it was an off day and everything else was going to plan i'd agree.

The mentally is very different from the team team/Manager of last season.

Even a poor gambler backs the occasional winner. No way should we sack Wilder but anyone arguing his big money signings (Berge occasionally apart) have been a success needs to have a rethink.

We will struggle to compete then until we stop shopping in an over-inflated market. That's not anything to do with investment, that's the manager's stubbornness to not look abroad.

Sander Berge is our best player by an absolute country mile. If he was English he'd be worth upwards of £50 million. The reality is, we have recruited poorly and not got value for money on many of our siginings.

Look at Brewster, we've broken our transfer record on a player that's unproven at this level. I'm not saying it's a bad signing as he could be a real player for us but he's English so we pay a premium. Look at the signing of Berge, unproven at this level but he oozes class.

I dont think sacking Wilder is the right move. You dont become a bad manager overnight. However, I do think he needs a new voice in the coaching staff - to give a new perspective. Maybe recent success has gone to his head a bit (nobody is immune) and maybe somebody new in there can give him a bit of a reality check.

He definitely needs help when it comes to transfers, I honestly dont know what he was thinking with that window. The failure to replace JOC (when CW new he was injured during the last lockdown), not getting one or two players to improve the first 11 (akin to impact Egan/Norwood had in the Champ) and wasting the money we did have on two Derby lads who are clearly not ready for PL football.

The negative approach (which is the complete opposite of what brought us our success) has got to stop as well.

Come on then Brain of Britain
What strikers should we have signed for £20m
£20m is our budget

To all those asking for Wilder to be replaced which magician would get more out of these players than Wilder

No one could do worse at the moment . The players look stale

That may be, but playing devil's advocate, if we'd had this season last season, would 'fans' still be as disgruntled?

Wilder got a mid-Championship team promoted and had an amazing first season. We're now back to earth with a bump...

Who's at fault for that?

I would rather get relegated than lose Wilder. You have to question his recruitment. Particularly the puzzling failure to sign a LCB but for me he is the best man to turn
Just to clarify, you're saying Wilder is worse than Hitler who executed 6 million Jews, 2 million of which were children?
It was sarcasm.

Like who? And they may be unknown to us but how do you know what wages these players are on? How much do you think the likes of Danny Ings are on? Leicester have spent a lot of money since winning the prem. the simple fact is even half decent championship players are going for stupid money. Every player we sign is a gamble simple as that.

Same again tonight in his post match interview, “Look what they can bring off the bench, top three side in the country etc”. Chris, we fucking know this. What I don’t accept and I can’t believe I’m saying this of a Chris Wilder side, is a lack of effort and desire. OK we lose to Chelsea, but go down with a FUCKING FIGHT!!! Seeing Lundstrum jog around the pitch, with 50% effort boiled my fucking piss tonight. Wilder is to blame picking the cunt. I’d rather a 17 year old from the Academy play than that lumbering scouse turd with his overinflated ego. I also think a gravy train is developing now at United. Players obviously not good enough and past it being given two year contracts? Money that could be spent a lot better elsewhere. Watching that pile of wank tonight and the past 5 months reminds me of the last days of Dave Bassett. Thing is though, Dave didn’t spend £100 million on mostly bang average players.

Exactly!! We were spoilt last season & are probably having the season now that many expected last year..
