It’s been a great win and a great night but we’re still bottom of the league on 8 points from 20 matches.

I’m more than happy to be wrong, but we need to do more than win one match before I’ll eat humble pie
We've won 4 in 5
Better still we are scoring goals
And defending better

Carry that on and win 10 of 15 we can survive

Absolutely true, but it did seem that tonight we raised our game a level or two over previous outings and defended better and then moved the ball up the pitch quicker and a bit more skillfully and purposefully than a few games ago and seemed to have more players around when we were high up the pitch.
( Might be wrong 'cos I don't watch every game on tv)

Great performance beating Manure at Old Trafford. Very happy for the players with an all round team performance .They haven't given up, the heads didn't drop when the equalizer went in they just kept going.
Wilder must be happy at the way the players have responded for themselves and for Wilder/Knill.
Millions of armchair Manure fans around the world will be kicking their dogs tonight.

Can we get our match against Man City out the way before posting things like that please 🤦‍♂️
Why, because if we lose to Man City we should look to sack him?
We’re highly likely to lose, and we could lose big, but it doesn't change anything.
Given the compatible resources that he has, he’s still doing an unbelievable job and to think of replacing him is absolute madness. Any mistakes he’s made he deserves the time to correct them.

Bang on the money, I posted about wage bills on another thread it’s frightening how far behind we are. Why not everyone just get behind the club a show of solidarity and go again next season?

Just don’t tempt fate, that’s all.

We’re going down because we had an awful start but we have a good ethic, system and structure. We’re lacking the talent and depth which takes time and money. If we could have had largely perfect seasons like the last one with minimal injuries, a great start which builds the confidence and a passionate crowd behind us we could punch way above our weight. We haven’t had that so we’re where we are but the structure of the club means we’re going down with a stronger core and more available funds than the last time we were in the championship.

If we go down we go down but how much money have we made within the last 5 years from TV, sponsors and ticket sales compared to still being in League 1 or bottom end of championship. Plus we will get the parachute payments too, there are 8 former Premier League teams in League 1 including MK Dons (As Wimbledon then) so if we do go down we have some financial stability off the field and for me I would change the mould, stop chopping managers at the first opportunity everyone tipped us for relegation last season, we will be competitive in the Championship if we don't avoid the drop.

its highly possible they are a fantastic team. theyve put 7 past Bournemouth, 8 past Watford, 5 past Atalanta & Burnley. at the moment we played 3 times conceded 4

but as we said nobody would be doing a better job than wilder at the moment. also nobody is better than to get us back up. because look at West Brom. they have Allardyce. likely he will leave come end of the season & West Brom will have to start afresh next season

The real talent of Wilder has been keeping these players mentally resilient. Given the state of the table, and the state of the squad, these players had no right expecting to beat 2nd in the league, a team full of young internationals challenging for the title. But we came out and had a go at them.
Only against Southampton have we looked like a mentally beaten team
That's why I still believe in the great escape.
And the fact that there are 3 or 4 other teams who are also struggling for points

Here’s an interesting view, and the guys posting it obviously has their own agendas and bias’ but compare our wage bill estimated to be between £35-38M last season to this.

Even with our wages being estimates we’re miles off others in the Premier League and Championship, which is why Wilder mentions it so regularly. It’s an incredible job and a huge gap to bridge.

I don't think any sane Blade is under any illusions Saturday will be bloody hard, I thought we would have lost last night then I noticed DE Gea in net and was slightly more hopeful of getting summat. WE MUST ensure we win our home games that will make it harder for teams round us, don't let last night define our season carry on & stay up.
