its not Wilder’s fault that Woodburn wasn’t anywhere near as good as his hype. If he was I’m sure he wouldn’t have needed to gave got Dowell.

I think the idea that we've screwed up future chances with Liverpool because the Woodburn loan deal didn't go as well as hoped is way off. Wilder very quickly worked out he wasn't up to it, it's not like he spent the season wasting away on our bench. And you can't really argue with Wilder's choice either considering we got promoted. I think Klopp and the hierarchy at Liverpool are clever enough to work that out.

It was a bad move really. He wasn't up to the aspirations we had.

He'd have been better going somewhere like Peterboro to be honest given his lack of time playing men's football.

First loan in a team pushing for promotion was too much. I think both Mount and Wilson are older and that should have reflected the expectation of where Woodburn was placed.
