They are a globally recognised brand with turnover that dwarfs that of most Championship clubs.

By most measures they are bigger than us. The capacity and attendance are probably the only things where they aren’t.

Those saying it's between us West Ham and Wrexham are forgetting West Ham are in dire straits money wise. They were £200 million in dept last season. Their finances are in very poor shape. They are going to have to sell lots of players to get them out of trouble. It will depend on how much they have left as to who they can afford to buy and what they can afford to pay them. So maybe they aren't favourites to get him. Maybe.
If it's between us and Wrexham, obviously Wrexham have more clout than we will money wise. It won't matter who his preferred team is, it will be down to money. And I seriously doubt we will get EVEN close to what Wrexham can offer.
I'd love him here but very much doubt he will arrive.
Which is why we have just taken on a 34 year old on a free whose legs have gone!
Expect more of a similar calibre to arrive.

If he says he's staying unless he comes to us and you don't want his wages on your wage bill as u r staring at another points deduction then you might well accept a lower fee. Otherwise u have an unhappy player earning 30+k a week and not putting a shift in. Contracts work both ways and my guess sisnu desperately need to clear some big earners off your wage bill.

We can afford to keep Harry Soutter he’s on roughly 28k before relegation reductions. The barn sale we’ve conducted will keep that club afloat for another 12 months, we’ve already made about 40-50 million.

I mean more importantly and what kills the whole debate is why would he have his heart set on going to Sheffield United over West Ham who are a bigger club (takes cover) have a far better chance of promotion and can afford to pay him more, and are going to pay us more. Not going to happen is it. He’s not going to turn around to us and say the only club I want to talk to is Sheffield United. Even if we wanted to his fucking agent wouldn’t let him.
