Looks like there's a few Leicester fans who can't understand why he's not getting a sniff. Seems really well liked. Maybe just can't seem to force his way into a team that is performing so consistently.

Unfortunately for Souttar as well he has gone away when he would have been able to play a few games and had a chance to impress as we have rotated for the cup etc.

He was already behind Coady but he could now also be behind one of our young lads called Ben Nelson who has played well and our managed has said he wants to give him more chances which means Souttar won’t play much if at all

No doubt. 11 players out on loan due to relegation clauses that they couldn't play a single minute in the Championship. A lot of these will be moved on with a combined transfermarkt value of just over 100m, that would be in addition to the promotion funds if they do it. Future looking very bright for them if they get promotion.

The funny thing is this; to highlight the absolute chasm between the top flight and second tier, I reckon if we limited our scouting exclusively to the players Leicester don’t want or won’t retain, we’d go up to two:

Souttar Coady Robinson
Bogle Arblaster Ndidi Hamer RND
Iheanacho Cannon

Buy - Iverson, Coady
Loan - Souttar, Cannon
Free - Ndidi, Cannon

Can’t say I’ve seen too much of him other than when we beat Stoke 2-1 a few seasons back. In that game I thought his only redeeming feature was that he was very tall. He was poor with the ball at his feet and most of the time it looked like he was running in treacle.

He’s only started 17 games in the Championship over the last 3 seasons so it’s a difficult one to judge.

Definitely be available this summer, and you would definitely be able to get him on loan

His passing isn't too bad and he is good in the air - I think he would have been good for us if used but he was just unfortunately stuck behind Vestergaard, Coady, and Faes

I like him and I am excited to see how he develops - kind of disappointed he didn't get more game time but understand it with how our 2nd half of the season went

Comfortable on the ball and with both feet so can play anywhere in a back 3, decent in the air, and not slow either

I think there is a chance he could end up staying with us next season - with FPP/PSR/Points deductions etc. coming and us needing 2 or 3 new centre backs this summer, I wouldn't be surprised if Maresca gives him a chance

If not, then I definitely think he should get a good loan in the Championship
