Harry Soutar

I best case scenario he’s done his metatarsal and he’s out for 2/3 months

100% his foot not a knee

I thought there guy stood on him?
General consensus seems to be he fell awkwardly?
Can anyone confirm
I've watched it back on slow mode about 8 times. I thought at one point their lad had accidentally stood on Souttar but I don't think he did, the Star says it's an injury to Souttars left ankle which I'm guessing means he twisted or overstretched on it but on the video it doesn't appear either foot got stuck in the turf.

It looked very bad the way he limped off but hopefully it's not as bad as first feared.

Looked like he stretched for the ball when sliding and immediately held the back of his leg/rear knee area.

Looked like a hamstring injury to me.

If we're signing permanently from the championship I highly doubt there's a better option than Dunne with 6 months on his contract
Dunne has mainly played right back for QPR since their present manager has arrived. We could switch Gilchrist and Dunne if course but I think Kitchen as a left sided centre back would offer more balance than signing Dunne unless Wilder is willing to pay Gilchrist there

Kitchen us similar to Harry Maguire, he's 6.3ft tall, aggressive, a captain at Barnsley, and he can take the gall out from the back like Maguire and Souttar have done. It's only under Lampard that Kitchen has dropped out of the team and a move has become inevitable according to the press there. It's just a thought on Kitchen but I think he'd fit the mould if centre half we need.

That could easily be 8 weeks or more out sadly.

I like the Boly suggestions but feel he'd go to a low end Prem side if he was to go anywhere.

I'd be very happy with Harry Darling from Swansea, only 25 and out of contract at the end of the season so possibly quite cheap too

In the short term I suppose we'll have to go back to last years centrehalf pairing of Ahmedhodzic and Robinson.
You know.....the pairing that let in 100 goals last season.....let's hope Cooper helps them build up some confidence.
One positive is at least we don't have to rely on Trusty.
We conceded 100 goals in premier league not the championship and it was the team that conceded them not just 2 central defenders.

Ditto, I thought red immediately. Son who wasn’t at match saw it on tv and said red if VAR was there. Not seen any highlights showing him going down?

Opponent wasn’t close to him as far as I could see, it was just a bad twist/fall

Isn’t that what happened with Harry‘s previous ACL injury?
‘ I just went to turn and my knee went pop……’
I think that’s what Harry is quoted as saying.
I hope it’s just a mild ankle sprain instead mind you and I have barked up the wrong tree 😕

Cappy on shoutbox (whose usually pretty accurate) said lat night it’s his ACL and a bad one, 9-12 month job.

Flipping nightmare for Harry in that case, really sorry for him
I hope to goodness he gets through it as best as he can 🤞
Yes sadly if true …..that could be a career threatening injury - certainly playing at Chamionship level.

Gutted for him. A truly disastrous injury for all concerned.

Looks like Anel and Robbo for the next few games then.

Love Harry and was on track for POTY. Hope he recovers and get back to his best asap. 💔

Being purely cynical it could have been worse for club with fans hoping we pushed boat out to try and buy him next week?

Devastating for the lad but it has happened at the best time for us.

Wonder if we can strike a deal with Leicester to send him back so we could have 3 loans this window?

Terrible luck for the lad as hed been playing so well. The only slight consolation for us is its happened immediately before the transfer window.

We are going to find out extremely quickly whether our new owners have the money to back Wilder as that is at least 4 players we now need in January.

Thats very mercanary but i would try to do it even if we have to pay all his wages

I would love us to go out and sign Bobby Thomas from Cov, I think he’d be just what we need, can you imagine the collective head-explosions in the West Midlands.
He was excellent against us.

Sadly no way Frank Lampard’s Cov C are letting him go in this window.

Doesn’t make any difference aside from us having to continue to meet any wage commitments we’ve agreed. We can still loan 3 players in Jan, we could loan 5 even 10 more players should we so wish. The rules on limit the number in the matchday squad.
