70/30 split after costs..
unless they'll play for a flat fee and a decent ryder.
Not much difference between playing a gig and selling a footballer.
I could be wrong, I could be right..........
Stephen Quinn? I heard we had a clause with Hull that they had to pay us something like £750k if they went up, because we'd virtually given him away.Have we ever received a fee from a sell-on clause? Genuine question. The like of Morris, Mellis, Wayne Quinn etc we'd never have known given any % of a future fee would have translated to bugger all with those players. Naughton and Lowton are our only recent big young player sales to go for a reasonable fee afterwards, but I can't recall any cash going our way as a result.
I'm surprised they haven't sold him. The owner's stopped giving a fuck and won't spend any money. Maybe he's waiting until they get a manager before a decision's made or maybe he's just trying to drive up the price. Can't see how this sale could possibly happen, unless he has a minimum release fee which is unlikely he insisted upon given he was joining a PL club at the time.
Hull has 8 contracted defenders. 2 are unknown youths, at least to me they are. Of the remaining 6, Dawson is out until November, Bruce and Odubayo until January.
It leaves only Robertson, Curtis Davies and Maguire as the only fit defenders. They will have to play ElHamoudy (sp?) at right back and he's been playing midfield for them. A midfield which has just lost Diame to Newcastle.
Let's not spend the money quite yet!

I wonder how many sell on clause fees are dodged using 'undisclosed fee' and then a bit of creative accounting.

He's pulling his money out is the Egyptian old boy.
Have we got a sell on clause, on top of a sell on clause, if Middlesbrough buy, then sell at a later date.I'm surprised they haven't sold him. If Boro think he's good enough for the PL, they have to pay near to what a PL defender costs these days. A young one with a potential resale value. Not sure what that is but I'd guess over £10m. If I were Hull I'd probably want around £8m.
Got one for Naughton.
Do we know what it was? At the back of my mind is a fans forum where McCabe potentially said there were no sell-ons for either Kyles...
We'll do nowt with the money anyway, I've stopped wondering what we might do with any possible income. McCabe just trousers the fucker anyway.Alan Nixon @reluctantnicko 2h2 hours ago
Middlesbrough. Back in for Maguire. 7m all in. Hull still not playing ball.

This would be a real boost if it happens. We apparently have a 15%(?) sell on clause. So potentially over £1m for us.
Hull are said to be offering him a new contract though, hopefully he'll reject it and push for the move.
Knowing our luck though he'll either move on deadline day when we've got no time to do anything with the money or even worse leave on a free transfer next summer.

The only reason I still play FM now and again is because on that you actually get a budget to play with. It helps me to get over the disappointment of us not signing Sam Morsy, by signing Sam Morsy. Sigh.I still like to pretend.
