He’s under contract so doubt he’ll be taking a big decrease. Why would he?

What is more likely is that we’re paying the bulk of his wages and Leicester are paying the rest. Suspect we’ll have some creative clauses in with additional if he’s a regular and plays well.

It’s another common sense signing like the BBD signing. Always thought he was pretty good for us, worked hard and quite consistent too.

They should take it out of his hands, the manager decides based on the recommendations of the medical staff. If they say he's done x, he can't carry on or he will cause y.

But we don't know if doing that made the injury worse. I assume it would but I don't know
At the moment we don't know what the injury is.
But it sounds a bad one so common sense says take him off as a precaution, esp with just 10to mins go.

Exactly this.

We lack athleticism and that is something he brings in spades whilst also being more than competent in two positions.

He is obviously going to come in and play right back initially but there will be games like yesterday where we are getting completely overran in midfield so we could push him up in to there instead of Slothwell and bring Doherty on at RB.

With everyone fit, he doesn’t get in our starting 11 at either right back or in midfield but I’m not against him signing as he seemed a decent guy and gives good cover and competition.

I would be interested to know what we are paying him. Supposedly he was earning north of £50k a week at Leicester and you would assume he wouldn’t walk away from that sort of contract without being compensated, either by us or Leicester.

I think most Blades would be happy with the signing if we take it in isolation. there’s negativity around it due to the absolute glaring need for some flair, creativity and pace in the team, which we currently don’t look like addressing!
