I’d honestly say that when fit, Vini is the first outfield name on the team sheet and that won’t be changing imo.

I can 100% see it being Hamza OR Vini. Particularly as Vini is still struggling with Cramp from 75mins on. One of them, Gus and an CM will see us reight.

I think it might be one wilder chooses to mix up a bit. Gives us options

Some of the tougher games he might go for hamza and vini to try and control the middle and stop the opposition creating.

Other games against ‘lesser’ opposition it wouldn’t surprise me if we went Davies / hamer (even if he’s not played there yet) with one of Souza / Hamza

Or we maybe went closer to a 433 as opposed to a 4231.

I think he might also do the same at RB. With gilchrist as a slightly more defensive minded player.

Played well but it’s got to be him OR Vini.

When it was those two in the middle of a 4-4-2 it was not pretty!

Personally think he has lot more to prove to get ahead of Souza who has been so good, but a promising start.

His defensive skills speak for themselves but what i like most about him is his willingness to drop deep and try and progress the ball by getting the CBs to move further forward into space, Robinson did it a good deal in that 2nd half. Remember him doing this against us for leicester in 2019/2020 can be a class act on his day.

100%. I thought he was superb in that game too, a real nuisance. Prime example of a player you hate as an opponent but love in your own side.

I think it will be flexible with Souza and Choudhury sitting.

Both Vini and Hamza played well in their own way individually, but as a unit the midfield didn't really function well.

Peck still has a big part to play this season. He must be knackered after the workload he's had in the last couple of months and got a well-earned rest today.

Souza starts every game he's fit. No question about it.

Souza's obviously first pick but the run of games without him showed we don't really have any other option there so it was encouraging to see Choudhury able to do so much dirty work. Personally, I'd like to see Souza and Davies together, but we need options and Peck is one of a few that's desperately needed a rest. Good start.

Hard to tell how a Souza / Hamza pairing will do after today's game, Derby by-passed midfield most of the time by lumping it forward at every opportunity making it a very scrappy game. Little wonder the song Paul Warne your football is rang out from the home fans a number of times
