Nope - unfit on arrival and regularly out injured during his career - that's why he was on a free.

The problem is not the wingers if they are used as wingers but to use them as “inverted” wingers we need the full backs to get beyond them, they do not. So we either change the tactics of the wingers or the full backs.

To call an inverted winger a winger is really a breach of the trades description act
They just wait on the halfway line then turn inside and end up losing the ball in a congested area containing the entirety of our attackers and all the opposition defenders.
It's ineffective and boring but managers follow the modern trend like lemmings off a cliff

Hope he does well for us, I would like to see some players with good technical ability, vision and composure in the middle, fingers crossed he can do some or all of this. People are saying he's a bit of a Monty type, but I'm hoping he can show a little bit more ability as we already have a Souza for that role. Fair play to the owners for backing Wilder.

If Cannon turns into the white Brewster, Choudhury ends up being a kick and rush merchant and Bereton Diaz being finished.

They’ll be loads on here slagging off the owners…telling everyone how it was stupid to pay so much for Cannon when it was clear he wasn’t even Championship standard and everyone knew BBD was finished, the Southampton fans did warn us and how Choudhury has always been Nick Montgomery level.

Yeah, I think we can see what Souza has brought this season, sitting deeper and cleaning up, adding that physicality as well as protection which didn't really allow the two centre halves to come under much pressure through midfield. If we can get Choudhury into that deeper role it might also alow Souza to play a little further forward.

Not knowing how long Davies is out for, Wilder suggested a week or two, which would be optimistic, but having Davies, Peck, Souza, Choudhury and possibly Hamer in that midfield gives us a little space to breathe again. We really don't want another Hull game where were down to just Souza in midfield.

If we're expecting Kenny in this week that's also positive as it gives us more depth on the RB, but we certainly need a solid CB to replace Souttar.

Bbd isn't up to speed also a lot of the players he gelled with last season aren't here
Cannon needs time to adjust to new team mates and how we play and vice-versa
Choudry hasn't been playing regularly and also needs to get up to speed
