Sadly I would hazard a guess he will have taken at least 60% of the contract worth, which of course means he can "afford" to prostitute himself out somewhere else for 50% less over the next year and actually be better off..../QUOTE]

Maths not your strong point then Grizzers?! ;)

Rubbish.

Guarantee an income for another year towards the backend of your demising career in a fickle industry.

Anyone who refused that doesn't suffer from a lack of self respect, just brains.

He's a premier league footballer who's been on 20 grand a week, not the left back from Glapwell on 50 quid a match. I'm sure he didn't need to screw us (although the clause in the contract was ridiculous I'll give you that).

Adkins will have sold Hammond to the board as being the missing piece within the jigsaw . The guy can be so positive , he can wear you down before you realise it . Everyone out to please each other and be the hero .

Blame is with all and sundry who sanctioned this deal and the ripples I am sure is having a effect on signing up players now.

Hammond may well have not given a inch on this , unless he has a job coming over the hill . Will make a assistance player / coach with someone at the helm, when the out of work manager gets a job.

Yet again we suffer because it just doesn't work out.

Wonder what paying him off has done to our transfer budget?

Let's hope the departure of everyone's favourite player will be the catalyst for a couple of signings?

Whilst every one is spaffing their load over this it will mean the exact opposite.

The money we've paid the useless fucker will be straight out of next years budget for players.

Wilder has said that signings are dependent on players leaving, so I take that to mean a door has just opened

In all honesty, Coutts could be a surprise this season, i can see him being played yet, I'm not saying hes anywhere near a brilliant player, but, he's not Hammond or Woolford eather!

At least Hammond and Woolford tried. I would think it would be more likely that Woolford ended up playing.

Lets not slag the parasitic cunt too much. It might upset Woodwardfan, who was only weeks ago chastising some of us on here because, hey, lets face it, Hammond is a working stiff like the rest of us, living from wage to wage............

I'm not sure I want to know, it ll probably p*ss me off even more than the whole Hammond situation has already. Him going is a another step in the right direction for us.
