last 10 years funny , we got to a play off final 7 years ago in the championship
werdnesday fans been wanking off about doing that for the last 6 months months

yes weve not got out of league 1 , but we will one day
if we have the will , and support

We have also had some great cup runs.....doesn't mean the club has been well run by the owners and board.
In fact the money that was spent to get to that play off final...and the subsequent non showing in it was in no small part down to the poor appointments of manager...Blackwell in particular! And therefore down to poor management.

The money we paid Morgan, Monty, Hendrie and many others around that time was criminal. I stand by my assertion that this club has been a complete shambles for 10 years plus.

exactly 10 years ago we were preparing for a season in the premier league

And we did a great job while we were there didn't we?
Warnock contract situation....followed by the Tevez carry on. We spent more money the season after the premier league than we did when we were up there! That made sense!!

No way! Are you suggesting that, by the Bolton game, and with most of the fanbase at each other's throats either blindly defending or outrightly condemning club financial policy, the board might make overtures toward the reason we haven't signed anyone and confidence is rock bottom is because we (sorry, 'we', I mean McfuckingCabe) has had to pay off expensive acquisitions and bollock-brained purchases? I mean ... when has that ever happened in the past ...

Welcome to the Wilderness Years, part ten.

pommpey

It has always been thus Pomps. My football reflects every other aspect of my life these days. I expect nothing. But that is just me, who am I to take away the hope from those who expect any different?

Will the pay off for Hammond be more or less than the fines accrued by our ex midfield powerhouse for his weekly yellow cards?

We could have a surplus if so?

At a time when you got PL money for one year and parachute payments for two years, we're probably the only club to wait a year before bringing in expensive players on three year contracts. Or to sign PL players after we'd gone down instead of when we went up.

No. All we can do is register a surplus to budget on wages assuming Hammond agreed to take less than he was contractually entitled to. As his contract was only 1 year long it's all in this year's numbers.

Shambles from start to finish and symptomatic of the complete lack of planning at the Lane.

Sean Thornton you're welcome to correct this!

For SCMP the figures only come into play when the payments are made. That's from an email from FL.
Therefore if the pay off is over say, two years, the budget is amended accordingly. If we've paid him off in one lump, it affects this years budget and would be notified to the authorities in the regular updates.

Anyone know - genuinely know - what the pay off details are?

The whole blame on this affair should lie solely at the feet of the employee who sanctioned such a contract.
If he/she is still at BDTBL, then those who appoint should be held to task. Why?

Signing on at BDTBL is like being guaranteed six numbers on the lottery, then all they'll need is the bonus ball.

It wasn't Brannigan.

Getting a bit tired of all the Hammond nonsense.

A player we signed 8 years too late and obviously Adkins expected more from him. I do wonder who negotiated the deal to keep him after his loan spell though.

Had we signed him when we actually first wanted him then things may have turned out differently for us.

He's gone and hopefully the club actually bloody learn from it.
