Outgoing? Hamer

We're 5th favourites for promotion with the bookies and many neutrals expect us to go on a run during the second half of the season. Why would you sell your best play amidst all of that??
Coz we play better without him and his value - if he's not a fixture in the team - is heading south towards zero at the end of his contract

If we’ve any hope of making the playoffs, we need him. Even if he’s not going to start every match, he’ll be a dam good player to bring off the bench.

If it’s a choice between bringing on Brooks, Chong or Hamer from the bench, it’s pretty obvious which player is the best option.

I reckon he wants to wait till the summer then decide whether to sign a new deal or try to move.

And I also think all it will take is him getting into a bit of form for people to realise how good he is. But I can't deffo say he will do that.

But I think what Wilder alludes to. Is that the board may want him to either sign a new deal or we sell him this month.
I'd rather we didn't sell but I ain't in these convos so just gonna have to see what happens.

I just get the feeling it's the right time to sell Hamer.

I hope we get more than £6m, but even at that fee and his wages off the books it could be reinvested really well.

Sometimes you just know when something is over and both parties will benefit ....

To caveat my statement... a £6m offer will probably resurface in the Summer.

On that basis, I'd only take it if Wilder has somebody lined up that he knows can have more of an impact longer term AND / OR if he knows Hamer's heart isn't in it anymore (which is the feeling I get).

Yes, that is probably more the reality at this stage.
100% - that is exactly where we will be in the summer if we don’t go up ( now very unlikely). We are pretty much now back in the summer of 2018 - top end to mid table Championship team with no parachute money. Expect Hamer & at least 1 other to be sold for decent money which will not be reinvested - but used to offset losses .

He was so, so bad yesterday. No positional discipline at all. Looked disinterested and unfit.

I love him as a player, as talented as anyone we've had other than Ndiaye I think. But at one point yesterday he had the chance to start an attack and because he was tired from a bit of a sprint. He just passed it to Ben Mee.

I'd, with a heavy heart, accept an offer that meets what we need (for whatever purpose the money is set aside for) now.

Two games have summed Hamer up this season, the cup games against Birmingham and Mansfield. Like the rest of the team, he was all over the place in each game, but unlike the rest of the team he can suddenly pluck a worldy out of nothing.

In recent years, aside from Gibbs-White and N'Diaye I cannot think of another player who can produce such moments of magic. I feel lucky to have watched all 3 of them in a Blades shirt, and you know that players like this don't tend to stay with us for long.

I don't want him to go, but he feels like a player who needs to start every game, or he loses his motivation and focus. Maybe Campbell is the same?

It's time to move him on and get what we can, now. He won't improve
My guess is he goes for around 5 million too

The conversation and rumours need finishing

The same people who say footballers are fat are generally same people who look like this.

Ridiculous comment saying hes fat. Most people wish they were same body % fat as him.
Yes but us chubbies aren’t paid to play pro football. He’s not “fat” but chubby for a player imho
