Outgoing? Hamer

Hamer is technically very good physically very poor.

If we can get a good fee even if we go up I wouldn't be completely against selling him. I would see it similar to the Duffy sale/binning which I believe was proven to be the right thing

Good to see I was for this even before the play offs.

Tommorow is a defining day for the next 5 to ten years so whatever we do we need to get it right.

Not surprised and also surprisingly not too bothered.

He has immense ability but also some pretty noticeable flaws.

I don't think a midfield eith Hamer was ever going to work and I can see now why Wilder played him on the wing.

Hard to build a midfield around someone who plays to the beat of their own drum.

Glttl and thanks for the memories Gus ❤️

Meh. Flashes of brilliance but a luxury player, overweight, poor discipline line and can’t seem to play in a system. To individual in a team.
It’s been good in places but he’s no Ndiaye or MGW. Hopefully it will free up 2 or three signings, just hope they’re not under Selles in 48hrs time.

Bound to happen. I can just see the board keeping selles sellin hamer and just signing 3 midfielders for his system which is going to be great 😆

If Hamer goes, we might as well write this season off.

He's our only player capable of making something happen.

The timing is awful and I have zero faith that our chaotic Board have a contingency plan. Unless they think they've replaced him in the aggregate with Chong, Matos etc.
They absolutely haven't.

What's he making happen? Apart from a halfway line punt lads been absent for months.

Must've forgotten his contribution at Wembley.

We lost that game. Apart from a few daft fouls Hamer checked out months ago.

Fwiw, I love Hamer. He's a bit of a renegade, but we've never allowed rogues to shine.

No

So the club are trusting Selles to bring in a replacement/re-invest the money? Can't see Selles going in that case...

Being consistent with my previous posts, and understanding our place in the food chain, whenever we bring in a player who goes on to provide us with solid service while here, and is then moved on for a fee that at least recoups our outlay and hopefully generates a profit, it has to be considered as a success for all concerned.

So a lot depends on the “how much” in reality.

Never good to see your better players depart but he was never gonna commit to another contract so maybe sensible to cash in now.

As long as we invest well with the proceeds, it could end up best for all parties.

I guess we will see. A club like ours needs to learn from the horrid Brewster / McBurnie / Moose / Freeman type transfers we have made in the past.

UTB

The consistent thing about this club is selling our best players at stupid fucking times. What was usually a slow, drawn out death by 1,000 cuts of parsimony and bad stewardship under previous ownerships appears to be replaced by COH’s particular brand of put the pedal down, unclick yet seat belts and brace-brace-brace as we approach the cliff. 😂

We’ve had 60 years of mediocrity as others have risen and fallen with a sprinkling of time in the sun. We go again, but fucking hell these fuckers are unprecedented in their fuckwittery. You have to laugh.

I'd sooner he went there than some Premier League drain circlers and end up back in the Championship on loan to a rival because he's not fit enough or disciplined enough.

Massive amounts of talent and like with Anel at Feyenoord, they're a bigger deal than what we are, like it or not.

He was our best player in the Prem but last year Wilder didn't really know where to put him to get the best out of him and 433 seems to come over keeping your most talented player.

Will be sorry to see him go but it's could also be a bit like Spurs letting Kane go but not necessarily being any worse off for it.

As dissapointing as this is / probably will be, as long as we get 15-20m for him and spend tomorrow then i'm ok with it.

Let's be honest, if you were him, would you sit in the backseat of this car crash of a season so far?!

My worry is the reality will be that COH will be considering Chong or Matos as his replacements and won't spend any more tomorrow to properly rebuild the squad.
