The comment above asks whether Hamer is staying at blades...

I don't know whether I'm coming or going

The concern is that for some strange reason the Dutch transfer window does not close until Tuesday!!!!! So we could be left high & dry!

Eh, based on what?

It's about the going rate for a 29 year old. We aren't getting much more than that, even if we flog him to a PL club - nevermind a Dutch team.

FWIW, I don't think it'll happen but 🤷🏼‍♀️
Based on him being the Championship player of the season last season and he got that cos he’s brilliant and nothing to do with age. And over 2 years left of his contract.

We would get 15m Euros in the JTW if we are still as shit as we started.

FWIW I really not also.

If PSV decide to press ahead he will 100% go. There’s a personal side to this aswell and you can’t blame him for his reasons to want to move back there and it’s nothing to do with him being unhappy here. If he ends up at Leeds though that will be more disappointing because we’ve just more cashed in on him.

Don't Leeds want Solomon?

It will be annoying if Hamer goes but not the disaster some on here think it will be.

Selles is obviously trying to build his own team, and currently that looks disjointed until he can find how to fit everyone in to their strengths.

Hamer can change a game, true, but has he yet this season when the team is on its arse and full of newbies? He’s had ample opportunity in these four games to step up and show some experience and leadership, but aside from a well saved shot v Millwall -and a halfway line punt, he’s faded into headless chicken mode like the rest.

As one of our more experienced players he could be instrumental in making new systems work. If he’s the magician people think he is then this shouldn’t be a problem. However I think he needs both a run of games to get used to a new ask AND needs fans to understand he’s not tracking back, so needs a Soumare / Souza type to play that role with Peck, giving him the freedom to create going forwards.

We will be weaker with him departing.
The squad has some quality in it but he's in the top echelon of that.

I get when people say that maybe Selles new way of playing doesn't suit him and we might be stronger for it.

I can't help but think that so far this new way of playing is suiting no one. It's not just Gus. And what happens when they inevitably sack Selles down the line. (I think it will happen just a case of how long)

Selles won't be here that long.

Hamer is our best player and this regime will not replace him.

All this talk of 'who's available to replace him?', we don't want a like for like. We're struggling to find a position for him, that also accommodates everyone else we have (and have done for a year BTW). We need a player of his quality of but not his qualities .
We need 10 goals and 10 assists. Such players are rare

When in our history has this happened? When we've sold our best players.

What bearing does our history have? We've got new owners. Unless you think there's a Bladey Bible that gets handed down through the generations of owners, that must be followed for fear of death, why would our historic approach to player sales have any influence on the current regime?

“As per information from our chief football correspondent, Graeme Bailey, EFL Analysisunderstands that Hamer had told his people in the last week to ‘find him a way out’ of Sheffield United.

He said: “He is not convinced by Ruben Selles, and this led to fresh talks with PSV, who were told of the player’s desire to move.”

If he's not convinced by Selles, he might as well just stay put for another couple of games.

Just playing devil's advocate, but that could equally be read as 'Sellés won't play me the way I like, so I'd prefer a move, especially given my personal situation'.
