Nailed on for Leeds unfortunately

I imagine they are still interested and will come in for him, but I hope the new owners play hardball and rinse the filthy gets for every penny.

This is all assuming we don't go up though, and whatever has happened in the past, it's there for the taking if the players want it enough.

I'm not sure a Premier League team pays big money for him. He could have a decent top flight career but he coasts through most games and enjoys his social life too much.

If he took football seriously and gave his all every game we'd already be promoted.

Poku talking to Birmingham.

Can see Hamer ending up in the Bundesliga. I think it would suit him over there.

Cooper to Leeds is the most obvious and depressing.
He might go back to the Netherlands. I think he's mentioned it before.

Can't see a Bundesliga side being able to afford him this year. Must have a couple of years left on his contract so got to be a big offer to make it worth our while.

Basically what you said. He's somewhat of a G/A machine which fools a lot of people. He very rarely grabs a game by the scruff of the neck and dominates it as he simply doesn't have the fitness and mobility. He also fades at the back end of games weakening that side.

The Cardiff game is a great example. Excellent goal, excellent free kick. If that goes in outsiders who haven't watched the game would be writing big cheques pointing to those admittedly big moments in the highlights. Apart from that....

I still think we should give him a free role. Make sure he isn't facing our goal and having to run back. Through balls, shots, crosses, third man runs. Keep him fresh in and between games by not requiring him to run backwards.

I actually thought he was better yesterday than he has been for a while. Actually chased back and bothered to put a tackle in, instead of just getting booked.

Depending on how much money the owners are willing to spend this summer I’d be content to see him go for a good price.

If they have £10m or less planned for summer spending £25m for Hamer would be acceptable, and we could buy 3 or 4 very good players for it.

Think his star is about as high as its going to rise unless he suddenly shows some application and it gets himself fit

Might look at Bogle at Leeds who couldn't string three ganes together for us and think a step up in fitness could take him up a few pay grades

It's a depressing thought that not getting promoted this year would very likely mean losing our two best outfield players in Hamer and Souza. The team has been significantly weaker this season when one of them wasn't on the field, not to mention both of them.

Rather Souza leave than Hamer, midfield of Hamer, Peck and Arblaster would be OK for me

Most of us were saying how bad he was up until the goal. Just kept giving the ball away. Despite being very close to a three game suspension he still threw in a couple of wind challenges that thankfully fell short so he kept out of the ref’s notebook.

Then he scored and hit the free kick and did play better. But you kind of wanted that from the odd. Plus Cardiff were one of the least ambitious teams I’ve seen this season. It feels like they just turned up expecting to get beat.

I was ill so watched at home. He pulled out of three tackles as you say.
Cardiff were a joke. Just ring fenced their box from beginning to end. Even at 1-0 down needing points they showed no ambition. In his post match interview Hamer said he'd taken a whack on the shin but would be ready for Monday. He limped down the tunnel.

Hamer is technically very good physically very poor.

If we can get a good fee even if we go up I wouldn't be completely against selling him. I would see it similar to the Duffy sale/binning which I believe was proven to be the right thing

Leeds might come back in form him considering he's almost guaranteed to get 15 goal involvements in their team and they struggled to score last time. I doubt they'd give us more than £15-20 million for him though.

A Dutch team might be interested but not sure they'd have that much money to throw around.

I guess the other thing is, could Wilder (or whoever) get him to pull his finger out and take it seriously? If we don't go up, then he's a great player to have in the team. If he was physically fit and gave it everything he'd be like the Salah of the Championship.

If somebody comes in for him with a sensible offer, let the management put it to him...see if he is committed to us or not.

£10 mil? I think they are serious about promotion so I think you’re looking at £20 -£25 mil but balanced with a few player sales

Anel -£12 mil
Souza - £12mil
Hamer - £15 mill

Complete guess on prices.

Are the likely sales with all three likely to go.

So you’ve got plenty to spend but needs spending wisely which is exactly why we don’t want wilder here.

And who would we replace Hamer with with the £15m ? He is the only player we own with a bit of “stardust” imho . I would love to keep him and see what another manager would do with him if we don’t go up .
As ever UTB!
