He doesn’t want to go. But if we do sell him to Leeds and not to a team in the Prem then I’m done with Utd, that would just be beyond ridiculous, selling arguably your best player to a promotion rival is suicidal.
 
Regardless of price, the new owners won't be endearing themselves to the fan base if this goes through.

£13m is taking the piss, much as Arsenal’s £12m offer for Ramsdale in 2021 was taking the piss. We settled at double last time and we’d do the same with Hamer.

If Leeds want to give us twenty-five million pounds for Hamer we should take it and run to the hills.

£25 million or not, we need to ask how we replace his contribution. Yes he is just one player, but he is one of the best players in the league and someone who is probably going to get any half decent team double figures in both goals and assists from midfield. We'd better have a stellar replacement lined up, and I can't think who that might be personally because there would be no point selling just to re spend most of the cash, so it would be done at substantial profit.

If we sell at all imo, it shows that we aren't that bothered about going up. If we sell to Leeds, then we are effectively halving our chances of automatic promotion in an already crowded field.

I suspect it's all lazy journalism anyway after Leeds simply tested the water, and I doubt they can afford what we would want for him.

How is it that folk are willing to accept (& get vexed over) the initial (negative for us) suggestion but not the subsequent conclusion ?

Genuinely don't think it's possible with players you can attract at this level.

And for that reason I wouldn't entertain selling him.

If we did that I would literally be done with the club.

It is was bad enough we sold Sander to a rival in the same league.

But to sell to dirty Leeds would be the biggest Insult and unforgivable Insult at that.

I would not sell to them dirty b@stards for 40m let alone 13m I despise them.

Anyone.saying we should take money for our best player from Leeds is off their heads.

We might as well pack up and not even bother it is beyond demoralising for the fans base and embarrasses us as a club.

We would never live that down.
 
I do think we're over reacting to stupid press and let's be honest, McCabe would have shat himself and accepted 8m so we're in a very different situation.

I agree i would also question why i would bother supporting the Blades . Why would you support a club that knowingly shoots it's self in the foot ? I would not mind if we sold one or two like Anel or Souza but NOT Hamer or Blaster .What I find alarming is the fact according to reports they have agree terms with the player before approaching the Blades . A player who has a long contract with us and they appear to have done a deal with him . This is done in my opinion to unsettle the lad . If it is not paper talk lets start unsettling a few of theirs when we have new owners and we can hopefully splash the cash .This is not a one off they have history doing this kind of thing .
