I can't see us doing business for less than £30m, whether he's worth that or not.

Selling to Leeds for £20m would be like giving them a promotion spot leaving only two remaining. Promotion is obviously worth a lot more than £20m but would become a lot more difficult.

If the new owners are serious about a return on investment (which is only realistic following promotion) then any sales need to be worthwhile.

This is widespread in football.

Agents are always in dialogue with intermediaries from football clubs.

The "personal terms talks" don't really begin post club to club agreement anymore.
That's why once a fee is agreed the move is usually a formality (subject to medical).

Leeds have Hamer bid rejected by Sheff Utd​

Latest from Sky Sports News' senior reporter Tim Thornton:
Leeds United have had a bid rejected for Sheffield United midfielder Gustavo Hamer.
It is understood Leeds are unlikely to increase their offer.
Daniel Farke's side are still looking to strengthen before Friday's deadline.
Tottenham winger Manor Solomon is expected to complete a loan move to Elland Road.
