Outgoing? Hamer

But there is now likely to be an extra £10m+ on the fee to get him.
None of which makes it likely that United will find a replacement who's vastly experienced but still in his prime, has dominated at this level (goals and assists) and has shown potential to be good at a higher level. We'll be a worse team without him

Agree with that but struggling to see what relevance that has with Ipswich paying an extra £10m for him compared to this time last week?

An AI Instagram conversation generator.

Anyone believing a pro footballer is messaging randos on Instagram saying theyre off needs a trip to the doctor's.
Exactly. That's what I'm saying. There's no credible sources for anything. It's all bullshit. No actual media sources are running this story just shit from twitter.

Because they could pay in much smaller installments now. £15m in cash is hard to find

If he's not in the squad we'll all be absolutely wetting the bed. Mind you, was chatting to a Cov mate earlier and as we've got ohare and potentially the palace lad it's not the worst outcome getting 20m and settling the books 👀
Settling the books? WHO actually gives a f*ck about settling the books. That’s all we ever seem to do

Just remember our 3rd choice left back is a starter in their 11 FACT.

Their review/ feedback regards Max Lowes's debut....shows the difference in levels between the 2 Sheffield clubs.

Let's be honest, Lowe is OK for the championship, probably an average standard championship left back who is no where near good enough for the Premier League where he really struggled. Also he's pretty quiet and when things get tough his head drops, he's not a battler or fighter.

Blades fans set our benchmark towards upper Championship/ PL level...that's why we were shocked at how poor Preston were.
So almost every Blade says Lowe is not good enough and not worth a contract extension.
Some said if we can get him cheap, lower his salary, then he should still be able to do a job at Championship, so he'd be good backup
but the bottom line is if we have ambitions towards promotion then he's not good enough.

Owls fans benchmark is league 1/ lower championship level....that's why they''re convinced Plymouth are actually a decent team.
So because Lowe is average championship standard then they are really impressed with him.
There's a thread on Owltalk where they all say he looks a great acquisition and a clear step up on what they've had before.
They need to see how he reacts when under pressure and then they'll see he struggles.

Don’t see this happening tbh. Why would 1) we accept a bid from Ipswich unless it was 30m + (especially after selling Osula for 15m) 2) why would he go there when Wolves were after him earlier this summer - surely he would’ve pushed for a move then when his release clause was lower than his price tag now 3) we’ve signed his best mate from Cov who love playing together and 4) the Prince doesn’t sell talent (with a long contract) for cheap. Unless it’s a crazy offer over 30m I don’t see this happening.

Funny isn't it that as soon as 'news' drops about Ipswich coming in for him an Instagram chat of him telling a randomer he's off to the prem pops up.

Hilarious.

Some Ipswich fan says release clause payments need to be paid in full because reasons and suddenly it's accepted as gospel. People need to stop being so credulous and chill out.
Ipswich may have decided to wait for the release clause to expire so they can pay an extra nine figures for him, but does anyone think that's remotely likely?

I think it's possible he could go, as much as we'd like not to believe it, we'll see if he's in the squad in a few hours

I'm ok with Anel going as we've brought in Souttar but Hamer will be irreplaceable. Hopefully it's just rumours.

I’d be surprised if he’s playing or on the bench tonight he missed a lot of preseason and Wilder said in the build up that players are being monitored closely if they’ve not had much football in preseason. Expect it to be a 21’s side tonight with Brewster and Souttar thrown in

Probably not but so may others be “rested” for a cup match.
