He wasn’t the same player as he was on the right, naturally wants to lead with his right and wasn’t a permanent solution for meI thought Anel looked good next to Souttar when he played on the left.

I don’t think I liked Anel on the left, he leads with his right and don’t think it gives us the balance we need. I think unless we have that level headed leader like Souttar alongside him (and perhaps Bindon is that player) then I’d rather have Anel on the right.
So Bindon is slow?
I don't think Bindon is slow per-se but it was highlighted as a minor weakness in the scouting report someone shared.I don’t think I liked Anel on the left, he leads with his right and don’t think it gives us the balance we need. Ok so a championship consolidation player then if he’s not paceyI don't think Bindon is slow per-se but it was highlighted as a minor weakness in the scouting report someone shared.
Similar argument when people criticise Coopers distribution. It’s incredibly difficult to pick a pass to a forward who is stationary playing against a completely static defence. Every pass becomes a 50/50 with a winger vs a CB.I disagree that he gives the ball away. Hamer tries passes to play people in but they went astray as no one was making the runs to get on the end of them because we were a static team under Wilder.
Stand still in space, receive the ball, wait for someone to run into space and for them to stand still then pass to them. Subbuteo football. If there is no one then turn and pass backwards and wait for the crowd to clap because we've kept possession.
Campbell's goal last night was the epitome of what we rarely did under Wilder. O'Hare drove with the ball with runners either side of him. The result was that he drew a defender towards him creating space for Cannon and Campbell. Easy goal. This is where Hamer will thrive in a central role as he tried doing this last season but never had runners alongside him or someone making a run ahead of him to pass to. His "poor passing" was more poor off ball movement from team mates. You could see what he was trying to do.

Youngsters to supplement; One, Marsh
In my opinion - we look lightweight in midfield, we need some extra physicality. Even more so if Peck goes as per Cappy reports. We need another wide player for competition - i think this needs to be a stellar signing late in the window that gets everyone excited.
I think we are 2 big signings away from being in a really good position.
Have we been linked with any centre mids recently?
My dream 3 signings;Agree with that.
I think we can still cover your [NEW] items with 2 signings.
One player who covers RB/CB. Can still be supplemented with any from the pool of Shackleton, Baptiste, Sasnauskas, Sachdev and the new Bulgarian RB if we end up in extreme circumstances. Dunne would have been so ideal! So we reconsider Gilchrist or Choudhury?
Likewise we still have Caceres and Ikaki to make up the AM and RW numbers, possibly Marsh, however someone like Antman, who can do both would be good.
We don’t want too many specialists now if we can find players who are dual purpose or we’ll just be paying players to sit in the stands. That’s how you get in trouble.
He did last night and played well. Granted it was against lesser opposition.O'Hare can't play further back in midfield can he? I haven't seen that player in him.
Agree the Korean lad looked awesome, but seems like the Bulgarian RB is a done deal. Can't imagine we aim for both.My dream 3 signings;
Winger - ie Oliver Antman
Centre Mid - imposing defensive type. (I believe Arblaster can become more box to box like a Declan Rice type)
Right Back - that Korean lad would be perfect based on 27 seconds of YouTube
*Choudhury - come to think of it - would flourish in a high tempo pressing team

VeryDon’t know how reliable
Don’t know how reliable
Very
Depends if they can pony up the £20m-£25m we ought to be charging.
Honestly if we can get 3 lads like O’Brien, Lenihan and Jimmy Dunne through the door from the Hamer money, I reckon it will be alright.
Hell fucking fireHonestly if we can get 3 lads like O’Brien, Lenihan and Jimmy Dunne through the door from the Hamer money, I reckon it will be alright.
Just need to intercept Morsy before he moves to KuwaitHonestly if we can get 3 lads like O’Brien, Lenihan and Jimmy Dunne through the door from the Hamer money, I reckon it will be alright.
I think it'll be much less. £14-18m mark.
Obviously hope you're right, but I'd be very pleasantly shocked if we get £20m+.
We have a LOT to do, to recruit players with experience, to add depth, to add guaranteed starters and to have a squad capable of playing to Selles' system. Selling your best and most creative player makes that task much, much bigger.
Quite a lot to do and it's not clear how much resource with which to do it, either.
Yeah the Championship POTY award (although he was a bit jammy to get it) should be bumping that price up in today's market. That’s a really poor fee for me. Let’s hope we do the business in terms of negotiating a better fee.
Agreed. That's the list.Agreed, Without hamer and Souza there is very very little quality in this squad in MF or Upfront
Hopefully some of the money could be reinvested, we are lacking quality in midfield and attack.
We be relying on Peck who was rumoured to be off and what Billy Blacker and Hampton until Arblaster is back (who knows how fit he’ll be initially). That’s not a promotion chasing Midfield.
Serious question how many above average championship players do we actually own?
cooper
anel (for now)
burrows
Campbell
o’hare
Peck (!?)
Arblaster (not fit)
