Panic over![]()
All things equal and this being the accountant, this means we paid over 15 million and the release clause is a lot less.

Hamer will go if a prem club comes in for him starting point will be what we paid + more if we can get it.No way will we stand in his way if we get the right offer.Hes going on 27 so if a club comes in no one can blame him for going.Footballers are mercenaries especially foreign ones.Strange thread this one.
People on here often are critical of Nixon, why do people believe him this time?
Who are we going to sell of quality to raise funds? Clubs often sell assets when relegated from the premier league, as many people have pointed out all season we have virtually no assets of quality.
id like Hamer to stay, i really would, and id rather have both Hamer and Blaster in the same team, but like it or not our funds are limited so id rather keep Blaster and build a youthful team around him.
Apparently according to El numero triturador, The Prince told Jimmy the exact figures we spent. That tells me one of two things.
1. We probably spent even less than the press may have had us believe.
2. The figures for Ndiaye and we’re working on may also have been lower.
Either way, we probably spent not much more than 16m net, which isn’t very much and we don’t have much to show for even that.

I can’t help any more than that as I don’t listen to him.
Agreed but I don't think that means he expected to stick around if he was proved right.
I think he only stays if no-one comes in for him. I do wonder if PL teams will question whether he has the necessary athleticism for the top level and pass on him. Might be clutching at straws with that though. Think Leeds are certs to bid for him if they go up - their current midfield isn't good enough for the PL.
I agree that a midfield containing Arblaster and Hamer would give us a huge chance of promotion but I'm not too confident both will still be here next season.
A positive if Hamer does go might be that we're more inclined to hold onto Arblaster.
We probably only had 2m left to pay.The Prince also told Hal and Nick we only owed £2m in outstanding fees which has since proven to be wrong
What was the figure the Prince claimed, does anyone know?We probably only had 2m left to pay.
But that didn’t include the 8m we should have paid but had in arrears!

Because it's negative that's what a lot of people live for.Strange thread this one.

Why?I’d rather keep Hamer than Arblaster, if it came down to that as a choice.
I understand that from a one season, must get promoted point of view. Hamer = goals and creation. You hope Arblaster can add that.I’d rather keep Hamer than Arblaster, if it came down to that as a choice.
NooooooooooooI’d rather keep Hamer than Arblaster, if it came down to that as a choice.

Has the Prince not borrowed money on the strength of Parachute Payments? We clearly planned for relegation on the field so FFS we ought to have planned for it financially - especially after all the previous financial issues.
Last year's PL cash was supposed to have GT put our £ house in order.
Yes we have a lot out of contract but we have known for ages that replacements will need to be bought or borrowed this summer + we have parachute payments.
If we sell either Hamer or Blaster and keep either Anel or Souza , it will surely prove our lack of ambition.
No amount of bluster & bullshit from the owner/club will cut any ice.
Sorry to burst that bubble. All players are passing through.Couldn't disagree more.
Arblaster is the future of our midfield.
Hamer is just passing through (but hopefully will be with us for the duration of his contract).
Because he’s a much better footballer.Why?
All entitled to our opinions. I think I know which one has the higher ceiling.Because he’s a much better footballer.
I still don’t think Arblaster will be as good as Hamer. But, irrespective of potential, he’ll be long gone before he reaches it if he is to be as good as many on here think he’ll be. I’d rather we focus on now. Too often do we plan for the future whilst neglecting today. All entitled to our opinions. I think I know which one has the higher ceiling.

Prefer to keep both.....minority view it seems.I’d rather keep Hamer than Arblaster, if it came down to that as a choice.
Well that’s that thenEl Accounto said we bought Hamer for less then what is reported and his release clause is more than reported.
Some guy replied saying he spoke to Hamer himself and he said he's not leaving.
Stephen Bettis spoke to Iliman and he said the same!El Accounto said we bought Hamer for less then what is reported and his release clause is more than reported.

Absolutely this.Sorry to burst that bubble. All players are passing through.
If Arblaster is half the player the fans think he is, we’ve got 2 years max. If he’s here beyond that it’s because he’s not all that.
This isn’t a slight on the lad, I think he’s got a very high ceiling.
