I don't know what Hamer's release fee is, but I would imagine it is beyond what Leeds can afford, especially when they already have a decent squad. If he goes anywhere it will be PL club..
Except they are pocketing 25m from West Ham for Summerville. Would be a good replacement for him.

Don't think he's going anywhere but come January it may be a different story depending on how we are doing

Yes I agree that January is a big risk, if he has the season I expect him to for us.

Had a slow start to last season, but he is a phenomenal player. I sincerely hope he stays, and he will be massive for us if we expect to be anywhere near automatics or playoffs.

If he does leave via release clause activation, it should be to a club that can appreciate his talent, and a club that can allow him to consistently compete at the highest level. Not dirty, dirty Leeds. Not that I think he was there to negotiate a deal, but I'm just saying...

I'll say this though:
Of all the players at the 3 relegated clubs last season, Hamer is the best. Ironic given we have easily the worst squad, and whilst I think Ogbene, Adebayo, Berge all run him close, Hamer is better than all of them.

It's worrying Hamer witnessed an excellent Leeds display, with a full crowd, against one of la ligas top clubs. I watched the highlights and they looked very very good.

Wouldn't surprise me if he handed his CV in on his way out 😂

I’ve seen someone claiming on Twitter/X that his release clause is only applicable to teams in a higher division, so Premier League, Serie A, La Liga etc.

I was going to ask if anyone knew if there were restrictions on the division the release clause is applicable to.

It would make sense for that to be a stipulation to avoid us having to sell him to a Championship rival.

No championship club is paying just under £20m to activate any player on earth's release clause. Think we can relax on this one

Have a club ever registered a player money purchase or free transfer and sold the same player in the same transfer window.....O'Hare...hare today gone tommorow.

Bogle in A/E...Blades fan cursed him.
Clive Allen. I think it was QPR-Arsenal- Spurs. Or close to that permutation.

Exactly- there’s been no big fees paid out by Championship clubs this window. Farke even said he is working with ‘limited resources’ for incoming transfers.

David Unsworth lasted about a day at Villa (I think it was Villa).

Especially as they’d have to pay over £20m to activate his release clause…

Unpopular. But it was Sandra by a distance.

Soz.

I assume no one managed to photograph Brewster with the full Leeds kit and ‘Bogle’ on the back, sat in the main stand shouting “Leeds, Leeds, Leeds” all game?

I think that £25m will be hoovered up by the vast running costs of the club. Although it looks like they only bought him for £1.3m so it’s a fair old profit (sell on clause dependent).

Robert Jarni

Real Betis would sell him to Real Madrid so they had Coventry buy him and bought him from Coventry without even kicking a ball for Cov

How about Barry Hayles?

Thought we looked good second half v Huddersfield though so we'll be fine. 😆
