Maybe flashbacks to being asked to wear the rainbow armband last season
Combination of explosive diarrhoea and tripping over his toys it would seem. Won’t be a pretty sight I imagine. Not with white walls anywaySo nobody knows then ?!
Shat himself apparently
Met Hamer and his little boy last night at Harrogate. He said he'll be back playing on Saturday, last nights game was just a bit too soon. Someone asked him if he's leaving and he said 'no'!!
Agree 100% on the tactics, it was absolutely shite to watch especially for those who grew up with John Harris as manager.just a pity those 2 didnt see much of the ball booker was constantly going over there head lol absolutely loved dave bassett as manager but hated the tactics although i had been brought up spoilt on the john harris academy of football anyway back to hamer him and arblaster will be the best midfield 2 in the championship this season i think hes staying utb ftp![]()
Lets be right, he has a release clause, just because a team meets it doesnt mean he has to accept their contract offer. He may think the plan with new owners is a good opportunity and want to stay.
The club doesn't put a "relatively low sell on clause". It is negotiated between player and club. If not satisfactory to player he won't sign in the first place.Any team on the planet with £20 million to spend on a player, no matter who it is will pay him more than United.
You'd think that a club putting a relatively low sell on clause, and it is a low sell on clause when you compare what we paid for him would have at least given him a salary that would make him think about it.
If the clause is met, he's gone, simple as that, and sadly this is feeling a bit like one of those August 8th sales that leaves the club with its ready made excuses.
Well, what can you do?
We tried to keep him
When the big clubs come calling
It also enables United to trouser the money and hope everyone just forgets about it
We signed him for a reported £15m. The release clause will be MINIMUM £15m if we're relegated. But realistically even his agent would likely have been fine with £20m. So if we say £20m is the fee, that's a sizeable signing even for a mid-Prem team. They'd want a trusted starter.Any team on the planet with £20 million to spend on a player, no matter who it is will pay him more than United.

Really hope to see him play today!
what’s stopping utd offering him increased terms if someone matches his release clause, if we wan’t to keep him, obviously not going to offer him increased terms before anyone matches it.Any team on the planet with £20 million to spend on a player, no matter who it is will pay him more than United.

So the club negotiates it then. The club doesn't put a "relatively low sell on clause". It is negotiated between player and club. If not satisfactory to player he won't sign in the first place.
What is his release fee and his wage by the way? You imply that you know.
Sorry what are you moaning about? We've just signed a great young player we've all been waiting for. Things are going a little slow but we're building a decent side after losing a large amount of high earners. So the club negotiates it then.
No, I don't know Hamers wages, but I know if a club will pay £20 million for a player they will pay him more than we do
It doesn't matter whether it is Man Utd, or a newly promoted to the Premier League Wycombe Wanderers, they will pay more than United.
And yet he, and 100s of others have signed for UnitedSo the club negotiates it then.

Both parties negotiate otherwise it's not a negotiation. You admit to not knowing Hamer's wages, so I presume you dont know the release fee either. Your appetite to deride our club, at every opportunity, is truly remarkable. So the club negotiates it then.

Because we were a Premier League club when we signed him, it's not as though we'd have got him if we were a Championship club. And yet he, and 100s of others have signed for United
So the club should overpay?Because we were a Premier League club when we signed him, it's not as though we'd have got him if we were a Championship club.
It's easy convincing 100s of players to join if they are in the Championship or League One and they are joining a Premier League team
We got him because a decent Premier League player valued at £15 to £20 million wouldn't have looked twice at us
Bassett football was direct as you say but on our budget I think it was understandable because we're never going to beat teams trying to play football. We did play some good stuff too though.just a pity those 2 didnt see much of the ball booker was constantly going over there head lol absolutely loved dave bassett as manager but hated the tactics although i had been brought up spoilt on the john harris academy of football anyway back to hamer him and arblaster will be the best midfield 2 in the championship this season i think hes staying utb ftp![]()
Nothing wrong with direct football… particularly the way we played it under Bassett. There were very few games that weren’t exciting and we had some really talented players in the team… the likes of Hodges, Wood, Agana and Deane got you out of your seat. The term “press” seems to get used a lot in the modern game but Basset’s team pressed high and worked incredibly hard without the ball… teams like his highlighted the importance of that aspect of the game.Bassett football was direct as you say but on our budget I think it was understandable because we're never going to beat teams trying to play football. No bidsBrentford, Fulham and Roma sniffing...
Roma one seems to have gone quiet, Fulham are signing some Brazilian (that isn't Souza, the bastards), and until Brentford start selling I'm not entirely sure they can afford himBrentford, Fulham and Roma sniffing...
The longer he stays the more money we'll get if he goes. Teams will get more desperate towards the end of the window. Just hope it doesn't happen on the last day. We'll have the cash but not the replacement, then we become desperate.
