OK - Can we try to get some clarity on this? Really don't want to piss NVST off - especially as they've gone out of their way to lay on a late bus.

Big Mart - Raul has told me he isn't coming to the bash, but I've already given first refusal on his ticket to Dronfield Blade. I'm still waiting to hear if he/she still wants it, but will let you know by PM if not. HOWEVER - there's still a question about whether Brownie can make it due to shift times. I'm still waiting to hear, but there may be a ticket for you there. (If this pans out for you, I'll PM info re accom and transport arrangements to date)

Think we're reasonably clear on everyone else - though I've heard nothing from Sale Blade for ages. If you're out there mate - will you drop me a PM to clarify where your at?

TAXI - to my knowledge there are at least 5 Blades staying at Knutsford Travelodge - and the Trust have offered a late bus. I get the impression that people are happy to run with hiring a taxi back to Knutsford - but no bugger has really told me anything clearly!!! Talk to me people

For those who are a bit more skint (or looking to spend their life savings on ale at the bash :D) I'm looking into campsites a few miles outside town. HH - this could well be me n thee! Reckon that will be a taxi job though.

And lastly - anyone got any thoughts re raffle prizes - or any word back from BDTBL? (I know a number of people were chasing up Mick Rooker).

Sorry to hassle folks - but Pez at NVST has gone out of his way for us, and we really should give him a clear answer asap.

The Beer Festival event has been a sell out since the end of April and will feature 14 real ales and two ciders for the Festival with beers featuring from the following Breweries, Blue Monkey, Tower, Kinver, Slaters, Burton Bridge, Lymestone, Storm, Titanic, Spire, TSA, Brakspear, Jennings and Rudgate, with the Beer from them being the Ruby Mild Champion Beer of 2009 as chosen at the Great British Beer Festival, with the bar being set up by Mike Elliott Beer Festival Services.

Pez.

At the moment the beer on order from Titanic is the ............. will keep it under wraps for a little while longer but the ciders so we are told are a nice little 7.5% and 6 % ones, the 7.5% is a clear cider called "Moonshine" which I am told has a kick like a mule !!

Will let you know a few more of the beers in a few days...

Pez

There are six of us staying at Knutsford akaik. We're pretty happy to sort ourselves out travel wise as we have no idea if everyone is going to want to go back to the hotel at the same time or not. It's less complicated if we just sort ourselves :)

Hi Linz

That is ok, I will let you have a couple of Taxi firms numbers in next few days via PM so that you can sort yourselves a taxi out.

Pez.

And the Titanic one on order is the "Stout" which has won quite a few awards. There has though been a change to one of the ciders, with us now having one from "Thatchers" am awaiting confirmation of the name but if it is like the one that was on the Wetherspoons recent Beer Festival it will be a good one.

Pez.

You just get beers sorted chief. A menu can always be provided shortly.Your club's more important than our beer is.

The 12/06/2010 is the AGM date for the Conference Muppet's Meeting so the beer festival will be interesting re feedback from it no doubt. It is up to Jim Rushe our owner to decide if he is to appeal if it is confirmed that we are thrown out, will not stop the beer being drunk.

This has lots of shades of our (KMcC's) Justice in Football campaign after Tevez.

Vics feel they are in the right, but to prove it they may well have to spend money on an appeal - and us Blades are more than aware of just how far the football authorities will go to look after their own agendas, interests and egos. So just like us - they may need to go to the expence of an appeal in the civil courts to gain any kind of fairness - - failing which relegation awaits. It's all very familiar eh?

The difference is that Jim Rushe doesn't have KMcC's financial clout or options -

The question is - how many of us would have put our money into the Tevez hearings (or to put it another way - would we advise NVST to use their resources to support an appeal given our experiences, or would we rather say, save your cash to help rebuilding after any relegation?)

Lots of thoughts about this on the Vics website for those interested.

For those only mildly interested - how about a quick precis to whet the appetite?

Vics 12 moths ago at the Conference AGM are told that they will not be allowed to take part in the Blue Square North for season 2009/10 due to failure to meet the rules as set down by the Conference and going into administration, Vics appeal and the FA uphold the appeal letting NVFC start 2009/10 season with a 10 point deduction. The FA advise the Conference that they must sort out this rule thing due to the problems. Vics reach a CVA agreement with HMRC & other debtors and are informed that now 12 moths later even having had a 10 point penalty for going into admin they are advised by the Conference that they have fallen foul of their rules ie the dreaded Appendix E !! Which states that all debts must be paid in full and NVFC will not be allowed to play in the Blue Square North for 2010/11 season. If we were able to pay our debts (of which some were built up by our previous owner Mike Connett) then we would not have gone into admin and been subject to the rule re a -10 point deduction in the first place. So the appeal process will be looked at again by our owner Jim Rushe and his legal advisers and our Administrator.

Bad news the Spire was not obtained, distributor was not able to get any joy re their attempt to obtain for us, it has been replaced by Oakham Citra 4.2% per our Bar Manager.

Are we Blades travelling together for this? If so we need to organise it.

What time can people set off? Are we booking in the hotel before?

I don't even know what time it kicks off!

Has HH got my beer money ready?

:)

Kicks off at 6pm... we're taking two cars (drivers TBC).

I think the plan is that we get to Northwich in time to have some dinner and possibly watch the Argentina match... we can check into the hotel at 2pm.

I've told Foxy that it's his responsibility to sort out the travel arrangements seeing as I did the hotels :)

I'm going to have to bow out of the festival tomorrow - unfortunately my Gran passed away last night and I'm in the middle of arranging messages to family members and funeral directors. :0(

Sorry guys - I will of course pay for my ticket - if someone can let me know to whom and how much.....

Sale

Sorry to hear your sad news Sale Blade, for those that are coming to the festival if you get there early no doubt we will not stick to the 6pm opening time safe trip & see you all there.

Pez

Oh and we lost the appeal !!!

Sorry to hear that! :(

We're setting off at 12, dumping stuff at the hotel and finding an establishment for the early match.

Sorry to hear your bad news Sale Blade. I'm sure you will have a toast to her memory at some point.

Lovely welcome from the Vics fans. Had a neb around the dressing rooms & the pitch. Got pics to upload tomorrow :)

It was great to see you all there and I thought you all had a great time with us at the beer fest. You even won the gnome back in the raffle !!
On behalf of all of us many thanks for attending and lets hope the "friendly game" come off. See you all in the not too distant future.

Pez.

Nice bit of mobile posting Linz look forward to seeing the pictures.

Really enjoyed it. I'm not really a beer drinker but I actually found myself drinking it!

Winning twice on the raffle made it much better:)

Just trying to track down an elusive USB cable to get some pics up... (had a bit of a sleep this afternoon after some bint waking us up at 2am arguing in the hotel corridor. The word "BASTARD" was shouted quite loudly a few times before someone stuck their head out of the door and told her to kindly shut the fuck up.)

EDIT:

Right, here's SF's mobile phone pictures posted on Facebook first of all.

The first one is in Wetherspoons earlier on in the day.
