I take it you went - I didn't - so you will know better than me because I've only seen short video clips and heard stuff second hand. However, there are two observations I have: First, in common with the last 2 games, we struggled to put the ball in the net despite having all the possession. Second, the defending was awful from their free kick. Cult hero, 6' 4", Ebanks-Landell never even got off the ground and attempted to head it. Morgs would have eaten that ball in his day. Basham was another one who could/should have got a head somewhere near it.
I've heard Wilder's interview and do you know what's good about it? He picked out both these things and said exactly the same. He may not have named names like I have, but he referred to "3 big centre halves" being at fault. And they were. Some more than others. Look back at the video and see.
I agree we've got to be more ruthless in front of goal, especially If we are going to defend like that! And why did we concede a free kick in a dangerous area like that to begin with? You'll have look towards the ineffectual Lafferty for the answer to that one.
Very disappointed with the result in the end and I'm glad we have a manager who has the balls to say the same thing. Although if he'd said it on this forum he'd have got lambasted for being negative no doubt!
