How about a tragic and career ending crocodile attack?

Mind you if Grbic was attacked by a crocodile the snappy bugger would probably score at least one past him.
I was a keeper at a good standard,we all drop bollocks but he is very limited, footwork and positioning terrible, awareness is non existent. That crocodile wouldn’t have to move quickly or travel far to snare him.

I’ve coached junior keepers with more positional awareness than this idiot. It really is startling how bad he is.

Can’t he move his feet off the ground when diving ? He just falls over in the direction of the ball..

Even in those YouTube compilation videos that make any footballer look Premier League, Grbic’s footwork just seems amateurish.

I sought them out after his debut, in the hope of seeing what we’d scouted. But I remained clueless. 🤷‍♂️

They must have signed him off an old Tom and Jerry dvd,no one with a keepers brain has watched him and then paid a fee only me and you can dream of. I would like to know who that person(s) were.

I don't think he's that bad. OK he's not Gordon Banks I'll grant you. But come on. He wouldn't have been at Madrid if he couldn't catch.
Are your eyes painted on 😳

His next clubs fans there will be a few saying he’s not that bad he wouldn’t have been in the premier league if he was. They’d be wrong also as he’s proper shit and no matter where he plays or what league he plays in is going to change that unfortunately.

Strangely enough the modern keeper doesn’t do much catching. If he does, it’s generally from a cross or corner. Grbic has shown he’s equally adept at avoiding having “catching” in his skill set by allowing his defenders to exclusively deal with crosses and corners, even if they are within 2 yards of him. For the Harrogate goal it was predominantly his faulty positioning that is so bad.

Wish you'd all lay off him, this is a person we talking about, someone's son.

What we need to do now is get behind him.
Exactly. In the same way, we have schemes at work to get disabled people back into the workplace, we should give Gbric a break.

Serious question though: does the Sunshine Bus drop him off at Shirecliffe every morning???

Been following united since the mid nineties and this is honestly the most astonishing signing I've ever seen.

He's the closest I've seen my club come to when Southampton signed Ali Dia, so lacking is he in the basics of a professional goalkeeper.

For the 9 games he played, the shots against metrics would've had a regular keeper concede 15 goals. He conceded fucking THIRTY GOALS!
Thank christ we were already doomed by the time he joined, especially when it turns out he'd been on our radar for the last 4 years. Those 9 games could cost you 10-15 points in a promotion/relegation battle.

All three of the goalies tonight warmed up like they were in their 60's. Not just the 15 minutes or so before kick off but for the whole hour they were on the field before. It was utterly pathetic to watch. All three were thoroughly lethargic and just moping around without any kind of focus or determination.

Grbic was dreadful in the match and just gave the impression that he really didn't want to be there, spending the majority of the time just looking at the floor. I only saw the goal conceded live but it seemed a very saveable shot. His distribution was pitiful out to the right back in the first half too.

I'd personally start with sacking the goalkeeping coach as he is stealing a living with the impression that the three gave tonight. The coaching was slow and ponderous at best and if Wilder can't see it then he can go too.

New broom required in my opinion.

What?? You don’t think he’s that bad?
He’s terrible & easily one of the worst I’ve seen at the Lane.
I’d take Gordon Banks over him today and Banks has been dead for 5 years.
Madrid also let him go for a reason & for a goalie it was quite a big deal - he was rubbish at being a goalie.
He wants out of the club. The club want him out of the club. They should get rid at the first opportunity.

When he dives his arms shrink. It’s a remarkable attribute.
Yep, he's hall of fame level awful.

Never mind keepers, he might be one of the worst players we've ever had in any position. He was the worst player in a historically bad season thats a fact.
Even Dean Hammond wasn't as bad a midfielder as Grbic is as a goalkeeper.

Playing more than 10 games over the last 30 years:

1. Ivo Grbic
2. Dean Hammond
3. Martyn Woolford
4. Conor Sammon
5. Michael Higdon
6. Nosworthy
7. Jordan Stewart
8. Simonsen
9. Yasser Larouci
10. Jay Mceverly

Good post, but why stop at 10 - at least make it 11 😁
