I'm 46 year old season ticket holder.

I've lived in Newcastle for 23 years and travel to matches on the train, lately with my son. I've toyed with the idea of giving it up but am resigned to my fate now.

I was an occasional poster on BU but preferred to lurk.

Best Blades moment was Leicester, worst was Altrincham.

:hello: Welcome to the forum tyneblade! :)

hope you stick around and enjoy the banter, we're all blades ain't we :D

Welcome to the forum TB... resigned to your fate seems to be the over-riding theme of introductions on this forum - we do try to not be too miserable with it though :D

Welcome to the forum :)

Could be worse, you could support the "massive" club where you are! :D

Unfortunately I do, financially at least. My daughter is a Mag so I had season tickets for both them and the Blades for a few years. Now shes down to five or six matches a season.

My boy's resilience is proving far stronger. As we were walking out of the Wigan match he noted, in all seriousness, that "it could have been worse, they could have scored in the last minute". I knew then that our work was complete.

Hey up, good to see some old faces appearing on here.

I came back from holiday to find BU gone without so much as a by your leave!!!

Best game, Forest Semi went through every emotion, worst moment watching Don miss the Penalty that sent us to the 4th Division.

Always an optimist and really looking forward to the first home game tomorrow.

I have two Daughters and have managed to indoctrinate one, but the other prefers Horses.

That train would go through Leeds normally wouldn't it?
What time do you travel - I catch the train at Leeds for Saturday home matches - could look out for you.

We tend to go down early to visit my mother in Law, but do come back via Leeds on the 17.21. You can't miss me I'm 6'5".

Nice to see you here Caveblade. Your story was my most emotional time on BU. Hope you're doing well.

Thanks

Hi North Yorks

Thanks for the message, we are doing well, whilst there are always tough days and times, life is treating us okay and the kids doing well which is my no1 priority.

I have looked at a few message boards and this seems to be a good mix of some old BU posters plus others who want to have some good chat and banter.
