only one i can think of who has played in the champ is Emilliano Martinez from arsenal, played for pigs and rotherham both on loan, played a few game at arsenal last season when Cech and Ospina were injured

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emiliano_Martínez

hes 24 and would be a good move if this is the keeper were linked with
He's the only other 'keeper I could think of, but I can't see him coming here to play second fiddle to Moore. It's an interesting one.

yeah he'd be expecting to start if he came here was looking at the teams he's played for and found out that Wilder signed him on an emergency loan at oxford in 2012 for the last game of the season

You have to think there is a deal in place for us to allow Long to go. I imagine we will see who when pre season finishes

Wonder if us training with Bournemouth means we have a chance of getting Boruc or Federici in

If it's a Premier League team that won something last season it's either someone from Chelsea, Man Utd or Arsenal.

Given the 'links' we have with Man Utd, I'd suspect it's one of theirs. Kieran O'Hara or Sam Johnstone being the most likely, now Henderson has gone to Shrewsbury.

The former would be a bit odd as he has very little league experience. The latter is heavily linked with Villa.

So, Chelsea - Blackman seems the only fit. Has league experience too, which would be good.

Arsenal - Martinez was on loan at Oxford when Chris was manager.

Is it just me, or is every cunt and his dogs cat signing young goalkeepers in the championship at the moment!?

Would be a good signing.

The question is; would he be prepared to come as backup to Moore?

Don't think he'd be back up, ultimately.

He'd be a great bonus signing with any Walker sell on fee. But I think we'll already have a cheaper keeper sorted.

Shay given. Experienced, at his age won't expect to be first choice, can pass on good knowledge, out of contract, will still be good at this level if he is called up to play, can't imagine he'd want ridiculous money. Ticks all the boxes

I thought Johnstone was on the verge of a move elsewhere

Given wouldn't come for less than 10k and there is better value out there!. I have said conor Ripley a few times would be the one to challenge Moore and we would have 2 good young keepers both with resale value we do love league 1 players of the year!

I cant understand why every other position in team there are a least 2fighting for 1shirt all except goalkeeper Colin made same mistake with Kenny and it cost us in my opinion

Spot on. Utd should be looking for a genuine potential number 1 to come in.

Moore has he has done reasonably well so far and at times he has popped up with a superb game changing save to help us to the points. That said, there were a few times when I thought he could have done better at certain situations but you also have to remember that he is still a relatively young lad.

What he needs though is genuine competition so that he stays sharp and on top of his game. He plays well he stays in the side. He has a dip in for (quite likely at some point) he moves over for another decent keeper we have on our books. Top class competition didn't do Kelly and Tracey much harm as it made each of them play at the top of their games.

As said above, all other parts of the squad have genuine competition for places. The goalkeeper spot should be no different. Bring in another potential number 1 for me and let battle commence!

#twitterblades have asked about goalkeepers Dane Jakob Haugaard (Stoke City) and Swede Kris Nordfeldt (Swansea) on loan. Going Scandi?

Hope we aren't after that Stoke goalie

He was absolute garbage when he played. If it's the one I'm thinking about I'm sure he was conceding about 4 a game for them. Genuinely think long is a superior Keeper
