It was a wonder strike similar to Rodriguez's goal in the World Cup. I was gutted when it got in but have to admit that it was one of the best I have seen at the Lane

Why a fluke?. It was one of the best strikes I've seen and Howard didn't have a prayer with it.Was clearly a fluke though,,,,,
Great goal but Murphy's dribble and finish matched it. Don't think I've seen a goal if that type by a blades player to match it.
I might have gone a bit nuts at that moment.
agreed
West brom we won 6-0Brown's goal against Birmingham in 2001-2 (I think). It was at the kop end and he looked like he was nearer the half way line than the goal area, but crashed it into the centre of the goal. Absolutely superb strike. Think we ended up winning 4-0?

I can and it was a stupendous goal but Murphy's was better. Now THAT was a quality goal (didn't go today so cant comment on gills goal)
Unbelievable goal.
Judging by his next effort that went 30 yards up in the air you'd have to think it was a complete one-off as well!
On Murphy's goal out of nothing, shades of Pesci against Forest. Currie's "quality" goal or even Tony Field going past the entire Ipswich team before scoring into kop end goal, superb football.

I've already christened it a Ricky Villa type goal.Or Steve Wigley v Blackburn on 16/11/85 - I think that remains the best dribbling goal I have ever seen at the Lane.
Dean Gordon I think it was. A swerving 30 yard shot past Billy Mercer. A great goal.
