Official coach leave too early for me (1pm ?). Can't find a train back from Stevenage. Looks like another long drive.

You'd have to leave just after half-time to catch that train, the ground is at least a 2-3 miles from the train station.21.47 to Kngs Cross arr 22.11 22.25 St P to Sheffield arr 01.45
Think driving still has to be best looking at that.
We can't set off before 4:15 - have we got any chance at all of making it for kick off?? Gutted we won't have time to visit the beautiful centre of Stevenage again - a monument to town planning and British architecture at its very worst.
If you pick up the M1 at the Parkway and then A57 round Worksop, the A1 is much better than it used to be. All the roundabouts have gone, so it's an uninterrupted run and there are a couple of motorway sections, although there are some 50mph sections as well.
Anybody got any recommendations on where's best to park? I went to the game at Stevenage in November but elected to take my Mrs for lunch in Hitchin first, I then got the train to Stevenage and walked to the ground (15 minutes). Knee knack and a greedy Mrs stops me doing the same this time.

I always go A1 when I go down that wayIt all depends on traffic of course, but after the Bournemouth game (ie on a Saturday), I got to Huntingdon in just under two hours and Stevenage is about another 35 minutes down the A1.

I reckon you'll make it and fingers crossed it'll be worth it.

Complete pain, think last train we can get back to get up here is 21.30 ish, so thats a no go.
Just seen theres around 100 tickets left, surprised they havent sold out by now to be honest, although travel arangements and it being a friday probably have contributed to that.
Yeah, I would have had a ticket like a shot if I could have got on the Club Transport.
We had two Coach tickets returned tonight, if you are still interested you can ring the Ticket Office in the morning and collect your tickets when you board the Coach.
