I didn't want Selles to be sacked until after the Ipswich game, and I didn't want Wilder back then (or the first time he came back for that matter). It is not a binary choice between Wilder and a singular option. That some people cannot think at the same time that Selles was the wrong choice and Wilder would also be the wrong choice is frankly fascinating

My stance at the time was that moving Wilder on was the correct decision, just the incorrect appointment.

Once the rot has set in however, there was only one sensible option at the time and we took it.
