I've been thinking this for a while now. Billy is the club captain, but Gorgeous George should be the captain on the pitch when Billy isn't playing.

I love Egan but would rather he stuck with his job and didn't have the distraction of the captaincy. I've never been convinced he is true captain material.

SUFC clearly means everything to George, it comes across every time he plays, and he could inject another 5-10% in to his teammates which is exactly what we need over the next 9 games. Give him the armband!

Yeah, be hard to look past him when Billy's not on the pitch.He leads by example and isn't afraid to vocalise.

Just watched his post match interview.He speaks with the desire and passion that I imagine infects others and commands respect because he's been on the journey to the prem before and despite relegation has remained loyal.
What's not to like.

I love George to bits but making Furious captain is not likely to be a good idea. Either they'd all play furiously and get sent off or he'd kill them at half time if they weren't putting a shift in. I want my captain to have some level of calmness!

Maybe he could just be Berge's captain ?
Put a feckin rocket up him every few minutes.
Stop him sauntering about , looking for somewhere to hide.

There's nobody else in the squad whose intelligence, athleticism and ability I trust more than Baldock. No red cards speaks volumes. Top professional

These solid guys are the reason we are where we are, without playing well most of the season

Been out a while. Against the side he supports and even goes to games in their kit in some no nonsense challenges and set the attitude for the night. Absolutely brilliant hour or so from him all things considered.

Definitely becoming a blades legend. There are some that you forget but enjoyed watching but Bash, Baldock and Sharp are nearly all on statues status soon! Held in the same regard for me as Morgan and Kozzy, genuine down to earth blokes that respect the club they play for and the ethos of the city.

Grealish didn't go round him once, George forced him to play it backwards every single time he got the ball.

He's definitely premier league standard and if his final ball was a bit better he would be top 6 standard
