George Baldock

It's not just from a defensive point of view. I think Baldock adds a competitive presence on the pitch and regardless of size, his terrier attitude has opposition players rushing decisions etc.

He is passionate, competitive and in my opinion deserves a starting place over Bogle at the moment. Especially at this business end of the season.

I'd argue Bogle might be a better winger than RB.
Just letting him run at people and be a nuisance in the final third, with less of a defensive responsibility, might be the best use of his qualities.

i think if anel is out again this season baldock has to be played rcb basham has been a great servant for the club but hes got a couple of mistakes in him at least every game now

Staggering how Hecky completely ignored Baldock today. Struggling to get my head around that level of incompetence
Very strange with George today. At half time he went in with the starting players to clearly take instruction for coming on at half time.
He then eventually came out to join the other subs, but did separate, serious warming up - another clue that he's coming on.
Then didn't come on at all, puzzling.

Not sure if he has got the call up again but if so International wise Greece have a nice double header of Gibraltar at the Algarve Stadium on the Friday and Lithuania in a Friendly in Athens on the Monday so you would expect him to get some minutes in these games.

One thing I love about having Baldock on the pitch is he is just so competitive. His aggression and determination seems to impact others too. He's always fired up, but generally stays the right side of the line and doesn't lose his head.

Top, top pro.

It's mad how much of a walking red card he is but has never been sent off. The perfect example of controlled aggression

Baldock epitomises why so often this season we've basically won by default despite playing very averagely

Having guys with that combination of mentality, experience and ability puts you at a great advantage against the mediocrity in this division

I'd only put Egan and Norwood up there with him in this regard

He’s been an extremely underrated member of this side, mostly because of his end product into the box can sometimes be, well, shite.

But that’s to ignore everything he contributes to the team.

Individually he has bags of pace, aggression and loves to smash into a tackle.

I’ll risk contradicting myself here from other threads and say that his understanding of the dark arts is very good, he’s acutely aware of how far to push his luck with refs and he’s in the ear of officials constantly.

He’ll get nasty, a little bit dirty and perhaps treads the shithousing line with one foot on the other side when he feels he can get away with it.

But from a team perspective he excels. He knows the system, knows his role in it and plays well within it.

He’s a more natural leader than we perhaps give him credit for. I’d stick the armband on him if Billy and Egan aren’t playing.

Last night his reaction with Hecky was brilliant. Hecky’s put faith in him since Bogle has dropped out of form. It would be easy to stick with Bogle for pace and footwork, but I’ve said all along that Baldock is always ahead of him

His end product is a bit wank.

Once the technology is there, the Baldock/Bogle hybrid will be made one day.

I love him…. He’s been my man love since Didzy left….. that winner at Swansea when he just left his teammates celebrating and just went straight to the Swansea fan 😂😂

Him Rwb and bogle in front

Said it before but with 2 players as good as Baldock and Bogle, we should be starting both of them in this league, at least if Bogle is in reasonable form

Our original starman. Such a good player.

Stick bogle on the left and drop max slow, keep George on the right.

The Algarve stadium is really good, I watched Louletano play there some years ago.

As for Baldock, he’s a fucking gladiator. You know he will give his all every time.
