I’d put Kyle Walker in the top 2, and I wouldn’t consider Baldock as Greek, regardless of whether he plays for them!

He’s been an extremely underrated member of this side, mostly because of his end product into the box can sometimes be, well, shite.

But that’s to ignore everything he contributes to the team.

Individually he has bags of pace, aggression and loves to smash into a tackle.

I’ll risk contradicting myself here from other threads and say that his understanding of the dark arts is very good, he’s acutely aware of how far to push his luck with refs and he’s in the ear of officials constantly.

He’ll get nasty, a little bit dirty and perhaps treads the shithousing line with one foot on the other side when he feels he can get away with it.

But from a team perspective he excels. He knows the system, knows his role in it and plays well within it.

He’s a more natural leader than we perhaps give him credit for. I’d stick the armband on him if Billy and Egan aren’t playing.

Last night his reaction with Hecky was brilliant. Hecky’s put faith in him since Bogle has dropped out of form. It would be easy to stick with Bogle for pace and footwork, but I’ve said all along that Baldock is always ahead of him

Of course Walker has gone on to be the the best RB to ever play for us, I was referring more to the 2 that have given me the most entertainment while playing for us.

I've been thinking this for a while now. Billy is the club captain, but Gorgeous George should be the captain on the pitch when Billy isn't playing.

I love Egan but would rather he stuck with his job and didn't have the distraction of the captaincy. I've never been convinced he is true captain material.

SUFC clearly means everything to George, it comes across every time he plays, and he could inject another 5-10% in to his teammates which is exactly what we need over the next 9 games. Give him the armband!

I love George to bits but making Furious captain is not likely to be a good idea. Either they'd all play furiously and get sent off or he'd kill them at half time if they weren't putting a shift in. I want my captain to have some level of calmness!

Let me tell you a story about George..
Premier League season, 1-0 down against Brighton, last few minutes. Ball goes out into the crowd. Baldock wants to take a quick throw in. Someone throws the ball back to him, but it's a crap throw and only gets halfway, another plonker takes a throw and it hits the back of the hoardings.

If I could have bottled the look of utter contempt he gave to the thrower...
