Forward, playing for Oxford. Just watched their pre season friendly at Solihull, where he played 75 predominantly down the left. He is:

• not 20 until October
• as many here love/need that sort of thing, decent height/build
• made 20 appearances for OUFC in League 1 last season so is not completely green, has also had loan spells at Conference level
• was not afraid to turn players and take them on, albeit my eye test was not against the highest standard opposition
• would think he will get Championship minutes this season
• seemingly only contracted through 2026, so will have one year left on his deal next summer

Clearly not one for right now, but to me this wouldn't feel like the worst one to move in on next summer if he does play a decent amount this season and doesn't look completely outclassed, especially if Oxford go straight back down and some sort of deal could be manufactured where we loan him straight back, he can then continue to develop in L1, and he would still only be 21 at that point. Could be one that goes nowhere, but does feel like one where there is high upside and potentially low initial outlay

I have no idea who you are referring to, the closest I could think of was Carruthers (where we loaned them him), not that that sort of thing should have any relevance whatsoever, if Liverpool offered us someone who we have scouted as the next Messi for a million and you are thinking "but but but Brewster" then get in the sea

Who we signed at 23 and did everything that was expected of him until he mailed the final season in. Completely forgot he came from Oxford but I don't seem how that is in any way relevant to the point de was making

I assumed when he said, Don't we have history with 'ones for the future' midfielders from Oxford? He was referring to a midfielder we signed from Oxford, Lundstram came straight into my head that’s all

I may be wrong, but when we bought both they were seen as the best of the Oxford team but not really quite ready for us.

Forgot about Bobby, another player who many didn’t like and he was always getting grief but I liked him myself.
