He wouldn't be more hated than Terry Curran though.

You got that one right. I couldn't stand the chuff even when he was playing for us. Bearing in mind that I had no problem accepting other ex Wednesday players - even Jeff King - it shows what an objectionable prat Curran was.

In the same way a racist United fan might see Carlton Palmer as a target.

I'd suggest you replace 'a racist' with 'any' and while you are at it, take away the 'might'.

He was a big mouthed piggy knobhead of the highest order. His colour was irrelevant, he was just a twat.

What about Sol Campbell ? He gets a lot of stick in the media ? I think that’s mainly down to him been a strange character not his skin colour . I see quite a few in the media have said that this is down to him been black.

But John terry a similar unpopular chatacter has too just as much abuse in his start to management

When this was being talked about years ago (racism, not Raheem Sterling) someone suggested that if goalkeepers heard racist abuse coming from their own team's fans they should walk off the pitch in protest. Probably stop it in about a month.

So on how many occasions have you been insulted because of your race?

How many times has someone called you a derogatory name to your face because of who and what you are?

In what way has something that you have absolutely no control over effected other peoples view of you, despite the fact that they don't know you and have no idea whatsoever what type of person you are?

By the way, I'm white and have heard some right racist shit in my time and have called it out on numerious occasions, know what? In my experience most racists are a bunch of cowards who when challenged face to face start to backtrack and try to wiggle out of it.

The rule is simple, if you're not prepared to say it to the face of someone who's physically able to take you on then STFU.

It's possible that BladeinIreland isn't Irish, but if he is I would think that there is a very high probability that he has experienced derogatory name calling because of who he is.

Very possibly, I'm Anglo-Irish one English parent one Irish parent. I have lived in both countries and attended school in both. On no occassion during my attendance at two different Irish schools did I have any problem, leg pulling yes, aggression no. This despite the fact that I was the only one in the entire school not to be 100% Irish.

During my attendance at the four schools I went to in England however I did have some 'bother' regarding my apparently being a Paddy in a few peoples opinion.
Make of that what you will.
