It’s all bravado.
We’ve seen it all before. When we signed Marlon King many said they would refuse to go and they apparently knew loads who would boycott the Lane, it proved to be hot air because on his debut the attendance was actually BIGGER than normal.

When we re-signed Ched many were outraged and many predicted that our gates would suffer due to mass boycotts.
Again it all proved to be hot air because gates stayed high and the feedback was that Ched was really popular and very likeable in the dressing room.

Now we have a similiar situation with Madine. Maybe Wilder thinks a bit of adversity and controversy will stir the crowd and make the Lane a hostile fortress again.

I didn't want Marlon King signed but I could see why he was signed. I waited with keen interest for Marlon King's first interview where he refused to apologise for his actions (he had yet another impending court case coming if you recall) and basically said as long as he gave his all everything will be ok. It would have certainly helped if Marlon King had played well but that first interview was a disaster.

I hope Gary Madine has grown up from his Wednesday days off the field but he'll have to hit the ground running, but I'm willing as a fan to give him a go, I really hope our fan base does - if he signs.

Well, in honesty I don't know he's not match fit. But given he's had very little match time all season, I'd expect him not to be match fit and at least need some time to get up to speed.

Madine has been a twat and might still be a twat now, but he isn't a Wednesday twat like Curran was.

True. Cresswell demonstrated an excellent work ethic and became highly respected if not regarded. Madine has made his bed several times over so any dogs abuse he receives is his own doing. It'll be his greatest test of character. If Wilder offers him a chance, he better take it as fools let alone c**ts, will not be suffered.

Already explained this speaking from personal experience I have inside experience on 3 acts of violence over the decades.
All 3 incidents were totally misrepresented in the media, one was a blatant lie.

Made me think that the papers are primarily a business
So if the truth makes a story less interesting or could attract criticism then a story is made up or only certain events are reported.

I always take media reports with a pinch of salt and try to stay open minded.
