Oh god, I hadn't thought of that. Do you think people will blame me?

*reaches for full Groucho Marx disguise kit, and leaves town for a week*

Going off topic slightly why are pig fans allowed to come on here and post when porktalk send all posts about united into a members only section.
Because we’re not quite as easily offended as them?

Although reading through some of the replies...

And yes, for the record he is a bit of a cunt. But if he plays for us then he’ll be one of our cunts while he does.

Honestly, we could sign the shittest players on planet earth and some of our fans would still make out it’s what we need.

We don’t need a player who is as shit as Gary Madine.

I hope it isn’t a permanent either.

Preferably a one day loan would be ideal.

pay day loan is more likely

We will have the nightmare scenario in May where Wilder leaves for Stoke and we are left with Madine made permanent here hoovering up all the transfer and wage budget a new manager may need

Wigan and Blackburn are both sides who try to get stuck into you and have some big bastards, we brushed them to one side.

Anyone who has followed us since Wilder has been here knows full well that we play shite football and look ponderous when we play the long ball.

Just wanted to offer my view as a Wednesday fan.

No point going on about his off the field antics as it's well documented.

As a player I really rated him when he was with us. I thought that he was more than a target man and was a decent finisher. I think he'd do well for you to be honest.

Anyway, happy new year and good luck for the rest of the season lads and lasses.
Weird, just weird.

It’s all bravado.
We’ve seen it all before. When we signed Marlon King many said they would refuse to go and they apparently knew loads who would boycott the Lane, it proved to be hot air because on his debut the attendance was actually BIGGER than normal.

When we re-signed Ched many were outraged and many predicted that our gates would suffer due to mass boycotts.
Again it all proved to be hot air because gates stayed high and the feedback was that Ched was really popular and very likeable in the dressing room.

Now we have a similiar situation with Madine. Maybe Wilder thinks a bit of adversity and controversy will stir the crowd and make the Lane a hostile fortress again.

The attendance v Preston on his debut was higher than v MK Dons, the previous home game but lower than the opening two. So not "bigger" than normal.

I can’t believe that wilder or the club for that matter are even considering letting this scumbag step foot inside SUFC.
So this is the standard of player we’re looking at to take us to the next level???. We’re well and truly fucked if he’s the best we can do?.
He can’t even get a place in a struggling Cardiff side with warnock in charge?.
He’s a horrible human being who delights in making nasty comments about our billy and the club!!. UTB

It doesn’t matter though because when the Prince wins the court case he’s going to sell all our decent players to get his money back so either way we’ll be in L2 by 2023.

King was a deliberate ploy to test the water about re signing Ched. King is a vile individual yet he still didn't abuse the Club or anyone supporting it whilst he was here. Ched is one of our own wrongly convicted and rightly exonerated.

Madine is an exception to the above. He's not a former pig player who we simply don't like because he played for that lot like Curran , he's not Danny Wilson or Megson or any other from the dark side. He's a violent thug that viciously assaulted a Blade simply because he said he was a Blade.

For all those saying lets forgive and forget well lets ask Mr Hall what he thinks about this waste of space pulling on our famous shirt. I'd say the same even if Madine was flying and had bagged in 20 goals for Cardiff so it beggars belief we are in for someone whose hardly kicked a ball this season.

Terrible decision it will divide the fan base at a time when we have got ourselves into a good position in the play offs.

In my humble opinion, Madine is not what we currently need. We need a striker who can stretch the game, one who has pace. The number of times Duffy/Fleck/Norwood play superb balls through/over the top but our strikers lack the pace to take advantage of.

But what do I know.
