Madine is harshly judged because he is tall and other players find it difficult to look past the long ball option sometimes when he's on, but to say he's a nothing but a target to aim at because of his stature is doing him a disservice the same as someone saying Bill can't hold it up because he's small.

Not saying he'll be a regular starter but I'd take him if we could get him for the right price. Nothing but a pro while he's been here bar that one tackle.

Shitting hell, here I am, we've been promoted to the Premier League and I'm defending Madine. Crazy town.

Definite yes if the price is right ( not the 6m that colin payed) . A diverse range of talents is essential to any squad/team

Decent interview, but signing him is a no for me. Madine playing well (which he often has) is different from United playing well.

If in the prem, we can't carry a decent Championship striker upfront. Doesn't press well enough (as his red card showed). Two upfront is bold in the prem, they both need to be able to get around and work. Madine works hard, but with poor results.

Madine was a 700k spend insread of Marquis.

We can dump Madine now, we'd be stuck with Marquis as he would have required a contract so good deal at the time, but that was in the past, neither will be in next season's plans.

Some don't like Warnock - but he's a decent judge of a footballer - his record proves it. NW signed Madine for a reason.

NW didn't play Madine in the premier league for a reason.

i'ts a no from me too, nothing to do with previous problems, think he forces us to change our game, yes it's good to have a plan B, but not one that takes away our new identity, but can't fault his effort and contribution

You're proving why he will be signed in my view. Not because he's a plan A but because he is likely to be plan B. My guess is that he won't start many games but he'll come off the bench regularly and hold it up and bring others into the game. When you need an outlet when opposition players are pressing us and the teams tired in the last 20 or so minutes, Madine is ideal to bring on. I think he'll surprise a few and he could well start some games if he does well and as I said earlier, if we get someone with pace up top who can play off Madine from his hold up play and flick-ons then we'll see Madine be a really useful player next season.

Madine will go back, Cardiff will need a target man for the championship. We should be looking for better now.

I don’t give a shit if Neil Warnock doesn’t think he’s good enough for prem, maybe if he had kept Madine and gave him a chance he wouldn’t be taking another club down from the prem.

If Chris Wilder thinks he’s good enough that’s good enough for me and should be good enough for everyone. It isn’t a debate this manager can pick the tea lady up front for all I care and I would still back him!
