He came to us on a moth's loan in February 1975 and scored in his Blades debut in the 1-0 win at Carlisle. Played two more games (2-1 home win against Chelsea and 2-1 defeat at Burnley) before going back to Bolton

Was he the first player to come to us on loan? I think the fist Blade player to go out on loan was Mick Harmston who went to Southend in the 1970/71 season

I was at all those games. I never understood why we didn't sign him permanently.
