Bad night all round so far. Goal difference well behind those just above us, and teams behind closing in.

christ losing 3-0 to the second best team in the league and some people treating it like the end of the world, sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and say you were beaten by a better side we've still got enough games to reach the playoffs

As much as we all luv how Wilder sets up the team to play attacking football, it's when we play teams like Fulham, Wolves, Villa and Cardiff to a certain extent when I do wish we had a plan B, we really have missed out on a number of points going for the when when we don't have the quality to match up.

I'm hoping that's one of the big lessons from this season going into next if we don't strengthen with quality in the summer.

its not this game or the Wolves game that will screw us up, it was the Hull game and those dropped points to the Pigs, Bolton, Bristol City ....

this league is getting more like the Premier league, you must take points from those around you, not expect to get points against the Man City's of the world or in our case Wolves Fulham etc

Beaten by a better team. No shame in it.

Negative nancies: try not to project too much of your toxic bullshit on here please. It'd be appreciated.

i am THE MOST NEGATIVE poster... and i actually think we haven't done too bad in many respects. We have played worse than this. They are simply WAAAAYYYY better all over the pitch. Its a fact and at least our boys haven't given up and chucked in the towel, like they did at Hull.

if Billy had scored early, would have really been interesting to see how we might have fared....

onwards and upwards.....

Blackman is awful??? have a word ..... after Moore gets a stupid red card then fumbles for the Reading goal....

Blackman is bang average. Almost gave up a goal in first half from a fumble. 2nd goal his fault - getting beat at front post, lack of concentration, poor angles.

totally disagree with this . he's no Dino Zoff, but to blame him all the time, sorry, for me he is way more domineering in the box than Moore. IMHO

One thing is crystal clear here - if there is the remotest chance we can sneak into the play offs, then we just have to hope that Fulham finish 2nd and go up automatically.

No one would want them in the playoffs for sure.

UTB

i honestly don't think we are playing THAT bad, i think we would beat 2 out of 3 teams like this, but Fulham look a class above all over the pitch. they were a prem team not long ago and it shows , they have excellent technical players, Faster in every single department and that is why they are so dangerous

Did we make them look like Man City of the Championship.. program three quid..or are they that good.. program three quid... should we invest .. program three quid..or love our Championship mid table status.. program three quid..program three quid...

I like the fact that Fulham don't dive all over the place like many others in this division.

Agreed 100%. I'm so glad that it's not just me thinking this!!. Some of the posts on here tonight and you'd be forgiven for thinking we're facing a relegation battle?. I'm quite positive despite the result tonight!!. UTB

Is Wilder allowed to throw the towel on the pitch?

Listening to Fulham fans with clackers singing "you're fucking shit...." is getting irritating.

Fulham could still get automatic. The way them and Cardiff are going I bet the Wolves fans are getting a bit nervous!

Brooks getting proper frustrated about the lack of movement around him.

Baldock has been superb tonight. Sessegnon - best player in the league - almost invisible. Swap Mitro for Don and this is a close game.

Stevens is shite - needs dropping or a replacement.

Blackman is awful - why start him over Moore??

Why play 3-5-2 against the second best side in the division who dominate wide spaces. Play 4-2-3-1 and play on the counter.

Expected us to get beat, but at least the three things above would have given us more of a fighting chance.
Great analysis, Wilder really needs to set up differently for the reasons you have said and to also make us less predictable, we don't have the players to play this way ALL the time, he really needs to have a think about how we're setting up against far superior teams in the division.

I think we missed Leon tonight but seriously would he have made such a difference, program three quid

Would rather play Cardiff or Wolves if we make the play off's
I think all 3 are a fair bit better than us to be honest. But they are the only 3 sides in the division that are.

Problem is there will be another 3 premiership standard clubs joining us next season....and this is why without major investment is going to be hard to compete right at the top of the division.
