I know that it is pretty much "embedded" in a good few United fans to not look to far ahead, this is probably because we have been burnt so many times in the past etc and quite frankly there is almost a voodoo surrounding it and some just don't want to jynx things.....

Anyway...Regardless!!

Here are the remaining fixtures for all of the current top 5 teams in the division....It may help to point out any weekends that could possibly be important weekends in the raise for the automatic places. I have red highlighted fixtures where the top 5 play eachother.....The Green cells indicate home fixtures.

Any opinions on this are welcome....

Would imagine they thought Swindon would be an easy game last week. No easy games, as we well know!

True that's why I put on paper.
If you had the choice would you swop their fixtures for ours ? Personally I think I might but it's a close call.

Not sure I would swap anything, to be honest I just want us to be the best team in the League and that means not shying away from any fixtures. As long as the team can stay injury free then we have a good shot this season.

But they also have 3 away fixtures against top of the league rivals...the hardest on all on paper.

Those late away fixtures against Bury & Oldham could be killers as well. Both scrapping for their lives, where a point or win could ensure survival, both local derbies.

If we go into March still in the top 2 I will be more than happy with that. Come on Blades!

I'd swap. Guaranteed three points when we play ourselves!

Oh I wouldn't bet on it.
It is United after all.
Basham would probably play a back pass to Moore who would miss kick and the ball would trickle in the net.
Pessimistic Blade.

it could well go to the wire this season but cant see any other than the top 3 now fighting for the 2 automatic

Just heard a Bolton fan on talksport ,called us the supposed big club of the division that they had already beat us twice and he can't wait to come to bramall lane and embarrass us again

Another set of wankers whom we owe a spanking.

Just hope it's not another Walsall scenario.

If we are still up there with 10 to go , on paper ours looks the least strenuous , I wont say easiest as it never is
only Bradford at home should stretch us after the february head to heads

he missed the Swindon game then
not played bolton with our current first eleven yet, or at BDTBL

Oh I wouldn't bet on it.
It is United after all.

We'd be fined for fielding an understrength team against ourselves. After all the embarassment casued to the FA and EPL over their Tevez non action, they will want to teach us a lesson.

The fine will be £50,000, a Desso pitch and a 10 point ban.

The CheatinAmmers will be given the 10 points, as otherwise, "it wouldn't be fair on the fans".

It's the Blades way.

I know this is very optimistic but we could actually be 12 clear of Bolton on Tuesday at 10pm - on the flip side we could still be 3 clear of Bolton but they would have 2 games in hand!
If we manage to win the next 3 games and not lose to Scunny or Bolton then it starts to look very promising for us!

I think we will know for sure where we are going this season after our away visit to Rochdale.

Have faith :)

Sorry Greeny, read across top line of fixtures and saw Scunny as being Charlton!

The other players they hope to bring in were Lewis McGugan and Sammy Ameobi.
He said if they get La Fondre, McGugan and Ameobi on loan they will be unstoppable and will win the league.

He also said Bolton are a lower Prem/ upper Championship club and he said he's confident Phil Parkinson will take them back to where they belong. He sang the praises of Parkinson saying he has them organised and defensively solid, it's only up front and creatively that they are struggling.

His words about us were "according to Twitter Sheffield United are supposedly the biggest club in league 1 but we've beat then twice already and I can't wait to go to Bramall Lane next month and we'll embarrass them again".

The word 'deluded' doesn't even begin to cover it.

They were lucky to stay in the Prem so long and I think it will be a long time before/if ever, they get back there. Even the Massive might beat them to it.....
