I see from the O/S that Season Ticket holders can now get a free night's accommodation prior to a match day at the hotel.

Good stuff but how about extending this to membership holders or even have it linked some way to maybe a discount based on SUFC loyalty points ? Obviously this is coming from a personal point of view but you'd have thought most Season Ticket holders live locally and it's the business from those travelling they should be targetting ?

No, NRS deserve nothing.....;)

I'm sure there would be plenty of people who would book you in under assumed name though. Looking forward to you checking in as Miss L Clayton.....

I would have thought a fair few don't live locally, like me for instance. :)

You have to buy a Full english breakfast at the hotel to get the free room.
and there has to be two people per room both buying said breakfast.
How much is one of those?
£50??

Can you complain this is discriminating against veggies?

Is there not a continental breakfast option instead?

I'm not a veggie, just don't like English breakfasts.

Nice touch by the club, always wanted to try out the hotel but never been able to justify it living twenty minutes away!

Extend it to lesser mortals? No chance.

Loyalty points, we're having a laugh.

You don't like the sausage in the morning?

Lesbian.:D

Wouldn't expect anything less from you two :)

True but I'd hazard a guess that 90-95% wouldn't be interested in the deal living locally.

You can book a room for two people through late rooms for £55 with free breakfast on the weekend break so I wouldn't say it's such a great deal.

Maybe not considering you're having to pay for the breakfasts anyway but it seems an obvious thing to do to offer discounts realted to matchday tickets. Bearing in mind it costs me in excess of £70 for two of us for a home game, would, say, £100 with an over-nighter look more appealing every now and then ?

>I'm not a veggie, just don't like English breakfasts
wha..?.. you should have your passport rescinded for such treasonous statements ;-)

Not sure how you dress this up as a benefit to SUFC, trying to shake more money out of Blades for the Benefit of a Hotel Chain.

Surely we should be offering Hotel Guests discount tickets for the Games to bring in extra money to the Club, not the other way around.

How do you know they're not?

What's wrong with offering discounts to Blades?

I am sure my Inbox would have dinged if Copthorne were doing sumat, but you could always check yerself.

I thought, as blades, we would be better spending our money with the Club, rather than the Hotel next door.

And if you read the thread you get the same deal elsewhere.

Only if the breakfast's are £27.50 each.

I think it's a great deal and might use it during the season.

Fairly typical that people are moaning about it, if you don't think it's any good then don't take them up on it - not sure why people feel the need to moan about being given an offer.

Sorted! You book yourself in and I'll pop round to yours. Again.

Sorry Mick she's not up for it.
She said last time she expected an athletic Spanish footballer, but all she got was a fat bloke in a Hibs kit .......

Lesbian.

Or Bacon, black pudding, beans, fried bread? What's has happened to the world. Who doesn't like a full english in the morning? Even veggies secretly dream of scoffing their faces with enough sausage and bacon to populate hillsbrough. English Breakfasts are great, if you stay at any hotel which serves it I defy any sane man not to come away from the hot plate without a plate stacked 2 feet high with snorkers! Then return for some more once they've been demolished, then more, and keep going until trouser buttons need to be undone to sit with even the remotest degree of comfort.

Webiste seems to say it's £119 for the friendly game against the Argies.... am I missing something???

That's for 2 nights including breakfast plus tickets and a vip tour, plus kids are free. The Coopers are seriously considering it

I don't need to check, it's not me complaining about it.
Have you ever thought though that if you check in and there is a game the following day, they may be offered a reduction on tickets.

This is the point, it's an option to try save some fans money. They may have used a different hotel at more expense, and spend the remainder in the Blades Store.
Even if they don't, fans are happy with being given an offer.

Not strictly true now is it?

I can't see how anyone can complain about this offer.

Kinell, has Bladesway started popping round "for coffee" as well then?

Can someone show me the link? Can't find anything anywhere.

I stayed there in April - it was amazing! Would definitely stay again
