Don't know how many years you've supported this club but if it was as straight forward as that I'd be long gone by now.

This club is poorly run from top to bottom, the board are arrogantly presuming the squad is good enough, while Adkins thinks that blindly heading into the season without a single competent defender is a smart move.

We fetch in a billy big bollocks of a manager, hoping the effect of that alone will be able to conjure up 20 points, but even with the limited money he's been given, he's made some staggering decisions. Prioritising attack, signing 3 very poor players in Sammon, Woolford and Edgar.

All that, equally complemented by the complete lack of talent throughout the over bloated squad, as a result of yet another poor managerial decision to appoint Clough.

If we don't bring in at least 2 loanees BEFORE January, this season is as good as over as far as i'm concerned.

They were backed until the final whistle yesterday and gave us much less than the required 100% in return. We have every right to call the players when it's justified yet you are ashamed of some of our fans?? The players need to take a long hard look at themselves and ask "am I giving it my all ?" . A truthful answer should see quite a few of them be ashamed to collect there wages each month

We got communication issues my friend... I was being frivolous, not having a go at Blades mad folk...

My point being, if there was a point, that the blame does not lie with any one of the aforementioned but with a mixture of all, and certainly not the fans (no matter what forum they populate). In my opinion, the only problem fans can have is unrealistic expectations of our current team, which is different to realistic expectations of a club of our size.

I felt that, if memory serves me correctly, that you posted it almost straight away and it seemed unnecessarily negative and reactionary, before there was any explanation (tiredness, injury, tactical?).

Which reflects a lot of what you post, but honestly, I do read yours when they turn up as I know they will be contrary to mine.

The same can't be said for me, I post my opinions and read others as I come across them.

I think you may read too much into things. I read every post I can, because I assume posters want it reading and a response if it provokes one. And I thought that, given the strength of your opinions, you might have expected such.

All i said was that I don't personally set out to focus on opinions that differ to my own, which is what your other post suggested was your stand point.

It's not been the start we all wanted that is obvious. While I'm not a season ticket holder, and don't live that close any more, I get to as many of the Saturday home games as I can. Last season was dire and only saw a handful of wins and probably about 12 goals by us. This season have been to 4 of the 5 saturday games and seen 4 wins and 10 goals (was on holiday for the Bury game). No it's not where we want to be by a long shot, but for me what I've seen is already bloody miles better entertainment than last season and to give up on promotion at this stage is ridiculous.

And all this bollocks about it being a mistake Adkins waiting to assess the squad before making any signings is exactly that - bollocks.
