This Is How We Can CHANGE Football Forever

I genuinely believe that this could be THE single most important football idea floated in recent years. Micky P Kerr has come up with a concept for changing football for a better, fairer and more sustainable future, for all.

If we all get behind this idea then the entire landscape could be transformed and discussions, with multiple pages on threads about new owners and how much cash they have and whether they actually care, will be a thing of the past.

is this click bait?
It's quite an easy term to throw around, if I'm promoting anything, it's because I believe it is worth a watch.

Also worth remembering that we are donating any money made from YouTube to charities and the gofundme we set up for Jonny, so even if you hate me/Nick and all our stuff just watching it on mute in the background will actually do some good and cost you nothing.

So much to take in. Thanks for posting Hal.

There may be many Blades fully supporting the idea but should the apparent American takeover actually materialise I wonder if opinions may change - 'let's see if the new owners can take us up to the higher echelons of the Premier league' before we start upsetting the applecart.

Developing our own talent is something I want to see from our football club. The posts on here about the development of our academy is of greater interest to me than the 732 page new ownership thread. (I admit there is a relationship between the two).

A well thought out concept - my first encounter with us being a 'selling club' was as a 12 year old when we sold Mick Jones - ironically to Leeds United !!

i don't know if your getting out of bed the wrong way. but this is comes off as a personal attack. he's offering up an opinion just happens to be in video form.

I just happen to be of the opinion that when it comes to the content creators, the best ones always seem to be the ones who attend the matches, and are a familiar face amongst the support base, rather than the ones who are getting their faces everywhere and their content appears to more about self publication than the subject they are producing content about.

football being screwed finalincally is nothing new, wasnt there a thing out 8yrs ago that said 20 of 24 championship teams, were all spending more in wages than they brought in & when bubble pops this could be itv digital all over again

for me i think they hit the F1 theme, as they hated the budget cap & fought against it massively & yet now F1 in its best place since 00s . you cap all season tickets prices at £500
Premier league - Budgets capped at 200m (excluding infrastructure costs)
Champ, L1 & L2 - you must break even every season (excluding infrastructure costs)

we know he used to attend matches & would love to. but life has moved him to Cyprus. & i sit behind blades ramble, hearing his opinions during the game last 5-10yrs. he's nothing special & i know who id rather hear talk about the game

It's a great watch - maybe people should view before criticising Hal for posting some great content.

I am intrigued how the collab came about btw but kudos to Sheff United Way for taking the time out to publish this content 😊

It also summarises the underlying reason we got bummed so hard in the prem last year. And will do next season 😉

Best to listen to a Blade who is confident about our chances this season than listen to someone like you who say we have no chance of reaching the play offs! :)

Just out of interest. When was the last time you attended a Sheffield United match?

You can DM these unrelated queries and I'll happily answer all your questions about me but I'd rather keep this important debate on topic. I'm on this video for about 2 minutes, it's all about the subject not me.

Utter rubbish, I've lived in France for 10 years, can barely get to games, but I watch every single game live, just because life has taken me in a different direction doesn't mean I'm not a proper blade and don't have as much knowledge as the next man

The difference being you aren’t trying to present yourself as the unofficial spokesman of the fanbase, whilst at the time trying to push on your media career

Little grumpy this morning pal!

I understand your scepticism about YouTube clicks etc. But Hal's (seemingly) a nice guy that understands and loves United. Pretty sure he's flown back from Cyprus for some matches and he used to drive from southern England for matches (as do I when I can).

Ramble, who you mentioned in another post, turned up on the forum for some self-promotion and immediately acted like a twat - not to mention charges fellow fans for exclusive club information.

I agree that the Prince shouldn't use YouTubers as mouthpieces.

I guess that info is hard to say no to, if the club owner offers it to you!

At least Hal doesn't charge fellow fans to hear it. I personally think you're being grumpy with the wrong YouTuber.

He created a channel when he went to games, has a loyal fan base who enjoy his content, why should he have to stop that because life took him to Cyprus, he donates proceeds to charity, takes time out of what I'm guessing is already a busy life to make content

Just because his content doesn't include the goals on a wobbly camera, doesn't make it any less viable

Like him or not, that's your choice, but at least appreciate the time it takes to do what he is doing, and in a time when mental health has hit this forum hard, I would have thought personal attacks are the last thing it needs

Regarding the mental health aspect. I also thought that the piece he did about Anels public issues around his family life wasn’t necessary or in the best interests of the player, and being so quick to bring out a video about it all came across as insensitive

I also found the interview with the Prince last summer after we had sold our best two players was the wrong thing, especially as the line of questioning wasn’t interrogating and came across as letting the Prince off the hook when at the time we needed more answers and a more probing line of questioning

When it comes to content I choose not to watch SUW or the Ramble but there is plenty of other content that I do enjoy a lot more. Primarily Bladespod in the car. I wouldn’t even know what Beans looks like though

We have a great relationship with Anel, we spoke to him before and after that video, he wanted his story told. All the funds made from that video I donated to Standing Together Against Domestic Violence charity.

I'm not going over the Prince Abdullah video again, that was simply questions posed by fans on this forum that we asked.

SUW is very similar to Bladespod, just fan opinion. Certainly not trying to be celebrities, mouthpieces or further our careers. I'm incredibly happy in my job and have no desire to change or leave Cyprus. It's very sunny.

Where does the question of Hal not being able to make games fit into this?

I sort of feel I haven't got the energy to consider the changes proposed by Micky. I know that's defeatist. But, cards on the table, I just can't see any of the ownership model bit happening.

The regulating (for eg home grown players) may come via the Independent Regulator route.

As a country, we still pursue the Neo Liberal dream. And, as a country, we see little failures of that every day in the news. Meaning we pursue the Neo Liberal dream a bit harder every day.

Personally, I find it easy to put ALL the noise surrounding football and my club out of my mind. As stuff I can't impact. And concentrate on the kicky ball. As I say - defeatist in a way.

"I choose not to watch SUW" yet you reference the Anel and Prince videos, and now you're on a thread clearly started by Hal and clearly referencing a new video. Are you OK?

As for your other points, the question about him attending games screams "I'M A BIGGER BLADE THAN YOU PAL" which is pathetic and embarrassing. Grow up. The SUW lads clearly spend a lot of time researching and discussing all things Sheffield United, I'm not sure how Hal attending games makes any difference whatsoever.

And so what if it helps his media career? Media is his job and he's applying his skills learnt from that to his passion. I can't understand how you've managed to find something to moan about. Do it better than Hal or piss off, it's simple.

Anyway back in topic, I'll listen to the podcast version on my commute tomorrow 👍
