Fodders

Verrips will be gone in January, I'm INK on this one.

Thought Verrips had a three year contract ?
How ‘INK’ are you exactly, will he be leaving on a............‘permanent’? 😉

I agree that Foderingham isn’t reliable cover for Ramsdale but whilst he carried the ball out the area twice and was terrible with the penalties, I’ve got to concede, he made a great save that kept us in it, when he touched Jay Rodriguez’s shot onto the post.

I won't say too much until it happens, don't want to cause owt.

Imo, Fodders is OK. I agree he was terrible in that shoot out, but he'll do for back up.

Can't be arsed to argue with that ridiculous statement.

He made no attempt whatsoever.

It wasn't that he didn't save it, more his attempt. A remotely decent keeper would have spread himself arms and legs and tried to put the scorer off.

That’s fine, but hesitation around your 6 yard box is not a good trait for a keeper. If he’d have carried on instead of stopping he’d have at least got a block in.

Oh I agree he looks a poor keeper

Not very gooders
You've got a real gift for identifying players that aren't cutting the mustard. Here's another one.

I really wish you were our manager rather than Chris Wilder. Things would be a lot better.

He started to dive and commit himself on every penalty before the ball was struck. Got nowhere near any of them making it so easy for Burnleys penalty takers. Poor.
Worst thing is that he was off his line for every shot before it was kicked. Even if he had saved one (yeah right) it would’ve had to be retaken.

You don’t have to rate everything Wilder does mate
Said it before, he’s not had the best few years in the transfer market. BHe built a great team on immediate knowledge at that level when he took over but since then it’s been three steps forward and two back.

What an incredibly weird thing to say

I think both keepers are shit and I've formed an expert opinion on both after watching them play one game of professional football for Sheffield United

Wilder should surely go for this.

That's a bit daft

Did anyone else notice wilder's wording in the post match interview talking about his thoughts on the players. all the outfield boys played well, specifically stated the word outfield suggest he wasn't too impressed with fodders in that game either. If so could it be Verrips' opportunity to try and move himself up to 2nd with Moore injured and Wilder seemingly unimpressed by Fodders performance?

He can't have thought it was a good performance.

After getting lucky to not give a penalty away with a horrendous decision he then hesitated a couple of time after that. One of them being the one he tipped onto the post, which was a cracking save even though it looked like he should've closed down the loose touch. He also got bowled over by a striker in the second half without much of a challenge. I try not to judge any player on an early round garbage cup game but it wasn't encouraging.

It’s good coaching - clearly made sure that Wes has watched the tape on the oppositions’ penalty takers
